Can you recommend something?
3dsconv.py (disclaimer: i wrote it) can do this on PC and can read the ARM9 bootrom for its keys.

Decrypt9WIP and GodMode9 can also convert games on-console, which works fine if you have one or two games but not so much when you have lots more. the 3DS SD IO just isn't that good.

this tool will likely not be getting updates anytime soon.

I think the better choice is to go with a converter that supports using the bootrom keys instead of one that still relies on xorpads.

What is wrong with using this tool ? I have had no issues using this and xorpads.

I just tried it, it's f***ing fast !
It doesn't generate xorpads which is slow ... I think it decrypt the 3ds file and generates the cia afterwards. For a 1GB ROM, which resulted in a 800MB CIA it only took like 5-6 seconds !

@ihaveamac there is little typo in your app: "Convert Nintedo 3DS CCI"

Thank you for that man !! Just what I was looking for ... now it only needs a little GUI so one can batch convert multiple ROMs :)

xorpads are deprecated as we can decrypt content directly on PC now.

gui isn't necessary, just drag and drop multiple roms on the exe (for windows) or supply more files in a terminal.

This is nothing new though, correct me if i'm wrong, but haven't we been able to make cia's from 3ds files on the computer for several years now?

you always needed to generate xorpads (for encrypted games) using a 3DS because we didn't have the encryption keys. now we do, so xorpads are deprecated.

I can't convert 3ds to cia using this tool now. I was able to succesfully do it in the past, but after updating to Luma 8.0 I can't. There is an error that says
Code:
ExHeader decryption failed. Wrong XORpad?
even though I have tried it twice. Anybody has the same problem?

It was easy to bypass some of the restrictions, as one of the admins left a registry key in the administrative shares drive, which allowed me to get around the blocking of some sites.
