I'm so glad to have found this! Quick question, are these instructions still correct for installing the DLC translations? https://github.com/OngoGablogian/Puyo_Puyo_Tetris_Translation/blob/master/Translated DLC/DLC-README.md

Or is there an updated way for Luma 7.0?

EDIT: Actually, I'm having the same problem as the other user mentioned; just a black screen when I load the latest files. The actual release version 0.22 works for me though. I'll wait eagerly for the next release before trying out the newest translations.

Double EDIT: Using JKSM to delete the save data and extra data fixed the black screen problem for me. It still hangs on a black screen for a little while on launch, but eventually it does load (less than 60 seconds). Going to try the DLC installation process shortly.

update: Despite many varied attempts, I can't seem to dump my puyopuyo DLC as a .cia. Both Godmode9 and Hourglass9 fail. At this point I just want to play the game so I won't be trying again. Still, I'm curious as to whether there is a way to patch the DLC using Luma 7.0 methods.

Yes the patching instructions on GitHub are up to date, Luma can't currently patch DLC on the fly so it must be done manually.

The issues with dumping the DLC are most likely related to how many files are included (~701 if I remember correctly) and thus causes issues with Godmode9/Decrypt9. I've dumped the translated DLC (with all the unnecessary dummy files scrubbed) from my system in the past and everything went smoothly. CDN-FX seems to dump everything fine.

Also, I haven't had these black screen issues people are mentioning and can't reproduce them. Just downloaded the entire GitHub repo and everything works perfectly.

Those with the black screen do you have DLC installed? translated or not the game takes a bit longer to load with the DLC to the point you might think its crashed, especially when it hasn't been run through the translation process since it has the 701 files, during building the translation version I got the file count down to 57 so its a bit quicker.

Also I imagine loading from LayeredFS adds to the load time a little.

Can't say I've ran into any black screens.

This seems like a good place to ask as any: It seems like the DLC isn't working properly for me. I can play through the EX chapters just fine but everything else (skins, bgm, alt voices, etc) doesn't seem to be working. Using latest luma with region emulation enabled, btw.

Nothing important in here, but because I translated them for my own benefit I figured I might as well share.

On the top screen under "Vague Rant" is スーパープレイ (Superplay).

On the bottom screen, the options from left to right are みろ (Watch), けす (Erase) and もどろ (Return).

Hey guys I tried to install this exactly as instructed. however the menu's are all still japanese. any suggestions?
H:\luma\titles\0004000000101200\romfs
  • Rename the “Translated Files” folder to “romfs” and move to "SD:/luma/titles/0004000000101200/".

  • Enable the “Enable game patching” option in the Luma3DS config menu.

Hello @ongo_gablogian;

I added this thread as reference on first post in the thread related to the Wii U version translation. Maybe you can do the same to have the thread s connected...

Just a suggestion.

Done :)

I believe all the "Replay Option" text is translated in the latest version. I haven't had a chance to translate the text in the bubbles though.

This is great! I picked this up on my Switch and what a pleasant surprise it was. Looking forward to your finished project!

Thank you :)

I just released v0.3b of the translation. I haven't really had anytime to work on this, as I've been super busy with work. Hopefully I'll have some time in the future to finish this project. Also the translation of the "Online" mode has been suspended until further notice due to the recent 3DS bans.

hi thanks for all your work.
So i put the 0.22 translation in luma/0004000000101200\romfs and game is still jap with gamepatching on (luma 8.0 bootstrap 1.2)
Now i got 0.3b of your translation and i read you need to rename Translated files folder to PuyoPuyoTetris and place in root SD while placing the rest of the files in luma/0004000000101200\romfs? Hope this is correct. gonna test it out now, else i dont know what to do.

For Luma3DS you need to rename the "Translated Files" folder to "romfs" and place it in "SD:/luma/titles/0004000000101200/".

H:\luma\titles\0004000000101200\romfs
So i place "translated files" as romfs
But then where do the rest of the files go.. not in romfs? With that I mean the translated dlc?

Question out of curiosity, since I want to see the script itself.
How do I access it? I tried exporting the .narc files containing it, but all I get are some numbered files, and I don't know what to do then :(
For the record, I tried editing them as text, didn't work out.
It may sound way too newbie but, please, have some mercy on my soul 3:
