Is it possible to marry the same-sex Inari with this?
Because he/she seems to be the opposite of the player's gender.

If not, I'm thinking of using the ntr cheat to change gender, marry him/her using the opposite gender you want then switch back? Or will he/she change with you?

Then again, is there even a way to check his/her gender before the dlc comes out?
I guess the CG is one way.
Inari's gender won't change with you since this isn't a sprite swap, but the majority of dialogue regarding them is gender neutral, so there's really no difference between male Inari and female Inari outside of their CG and marriage dialogue (I think). You can easily switch the CGs and switch around any mentions of gender if that's what you're looking for. The CGs are in the folders layout->still and have group_ in front of the character's name. You can open and extract arc files with EFE.

This is amazing, I love the Harvest Moon series and the original True Love Edition for FoMT was like a dream come true. Thank you very much for making this patch, I'm already enjoying the game so much more.

Is there any way someone could help you change over dialogue? :0
Sorry for the late reply, but yeah it's fairly easy to change dialogue, and I wouldn't mind the help. That's not really what's taking me so long to update this hack though, it's writing the dialogue that I need help with. Because the game's so traditional in a sense, it's hard to rewrite dialogue for same-sex relationships while still keeping the original premise of the event. Like Kasumi's events are particularly difficult to edit since it's basically all about her hating men, but not hating the male player, and that doesn't translate over well if the player's female. So, if anyone can help with rewriting things I'd really appreciate it.

Update for progress on the hack: I'm currently still super busy and haven't had time to work as much as I'd like, but I do want to update this soon since it's been literally months from the first release. I'll try to release a small update within the next couple of weeks!

Nothing says true love as making patch to force characters to be gay.
"Force characters to be gay", yeah sure because fictional characters are living human beings who have their own will and mind! Jesus christ, I've already argued about this before and I'm not doing it again. If you're going to be edgy on here, at least try to be original.

What I think I could do to help is this:

When I was hacking Tale of Two Towns (for this same reason lol), there would be big chunks of text. You could copy and send me the text, I could rewrite it and then you could just plop it back into the program. Anything to help further this hack! :D

Sorry, i just think its a bad name is all.
The original name came up because "True Love" was meant to symbolize everyone being able to fall in love, regardless of sexuality. I'm not sure why you would think it's a bad name, but it's message was really important to me, and I thought naming this hack after it would be a nice homage to the original.

Jeeze, what ever happened to "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all" (or at least, if it's going to be negative, be a valuable/meaningful critique vs trolling/insult..)
To follow up with that - if you're going to nit-pick something (such as a name) - try offering a suggestion to make your post worth the time to read it.
Sure, the patch may not be everyone's cup of tea or fit their particular views - but no one is forcing you to use it, and for others it's >exactly< what they want (or even need, since we all look for self-validation in various different arenas).
While I may be one of the ones who doesn't end up using this - I still appreciate and applaud the effort of Silrae, however easy or difficult a rom hack can be, to put their time and effort into something they and others can enjoy.

Hi there! First off, I just wanted to say thank you so much for making this patch. This is the kind of thing that I've always longed for in HM/SoS games and I cannot express how appreciative I am of your work. I've been playing with it a little bit, going for Ludus with the male build, and having just gotten his reverse confession I noticed some dialogue that could be addressed should you continue working on this. :)

In the reverse confession, Ludus still refers to you as a 'little sister' when talking about when you first met. He also uses the term 'girlfriend' as opposed to boyfriend. After the confession, talking to Siluka and Iluka results in them each congratulating you as if you started dating the other sister-- I assume because of the way it's trying to handle dating Ludus as a male. Shalck and Alma hilariously refer to Ludus as 'Big Sis Ludus', I assume again because of the way the game is handling the event (there are only Big Sis Iluka and Siluka in Lulukoko, and thus the programmers just added <Character Name> code into the dialogue string). Tototara correctly gives you the dialogue you would see if you were playing as a female and started dating Ludus.

Again, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for the no doubt difficult and tedious work you've done for us players. It got me to pick the game up again. <3

Thanks for all your kind words!! I'm glad you're enjoying the hack c:

Unfortunately a LOT of the dialogue hasn't been revised yet since I haven't been able to update the hack in quite a while. Between school, my job, and visiting family, I've been extremely busy the past couple of months. But I'll finally be back home and on break this Monday and hope to get out an update by the last week of June, if not earlier! The blessings the villagers give you when you when you start dating/getting engaged/married/etc will all be fixed to work with same-sex marriage, and the rest of the regular talk dialogue will be edited too! The bug you mentioned is actually pretty easy to fix, so it'll definitely be gone in the next update.

Thanks for telling me though! If you notice anything else wrong or if something seems wonky, let me know!

Absolutely! If you ever need someone to test, I'd be more than happy to! And don't forget to actually relax and enjoy your break, of course. <3

Oh! I did just remember something with Ford's dark blue heart event. I'm sure you're aware of it, but Ford makes a comment on societal stereotypes of women. Not exactly sure what you can do to fix that, though. Maybe making it a comment on stereotypes saying that farm men are big and burly, and yet your character is on the slender side?

Testing actually goes pretty quickly thanks to the game's ntr plugin having so many cheats, but I'll let you know if I need any help, thank you!

And yeah, I noticed that! I might change it to where Ford comments on the stereotype that men can be more aggressive and less caring than women, but honestly I don't even like the vanilla line so I might just redact the statement completely.

I'm exceptionally new, I signed up just to ask this question so I'm sorry if it's dumb but, is this a hack you use for emulator version of this game or for the official 3DS game?

You could probably use this with Citra, but I don't know how. I imagine some use this on the official game on an actual system.

@K3Nv2 Snow Day is pretty fun. My only bitch would be the camera controls, when you move around, say down, you have to move the right stick left or right to get camera to turn and get your view, other than that I like it so far.

I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it

@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.
