This would require Nintendo to remake the stages but it would be so worth it and have even more content than MK8D did. MK8D as it is is already a near-perfected game but I somehow expect Nintendo to still amaze me with the next Mario Kart. :)

yeah and it should be called Mario Kart Generations
they could also make 2 chars per cart again and call it Mario Kart Switch. and it should not be a port of double dash. if you want to play double dash get a gamecube or a wii or dolphin. screw remakes.

and this time the star actually is useful and speeds you up, and the bolt makes everyone small for the SAME time. oh and no auto steering and auto acceleration for the noobs. screw the noobs.
oh and even bigger, if you move side to side it should slow you down. like in double dash

Like the idea but "Mario Kart Switch"? The whole thing about including the name of the console on games was a thing Nintendo used to do for launch titles, the Switch is well beyond that now.

Even Mario Kart 8 wasn't "Mario Kart U" (thank god) though the title "Mario Kart Infinity" would have been much more pleasant than just another number.

Switch should only have MK8Deluxe as its Mario Kart and then if they want to add new racers, courses, and modes, they can simply add it via DLC. I see no reason for the Switch to have 2 separate Mario Kart games in this age of DLC, coupled with the fact that no Nintendo system has ever had more than one MK title.

nonono, MK8D is not the Switch's Mario Kart game. it's a port. the Switch needs it's own MK as well.

It is its own MK game and it can truly stand out from the Wii U MK8 by adding it's own DLC. Making a separate MK game for the Switch now would be a really stupid decision, and I would not hold my breath on that happening. Seriously, I don't see why they can't just add a full game's worth of new content to the game through DLC if they want. Imagine if the creators of Rocket League decided to release a new game of content, when continuously adding new content to the game through updates has worked so well. God that would be dumb.
