Sorry if this is an annoying question but I'm really only asking because of plain interest. Do you have any ETA for Gen 6 support? Not that I'm desperate about it, I'm just curious

There isn't an ETA, but we are working hard and constantly towards making the tools for people to easily rng - we want this done ASAP.

Which means while we don't have a publicly set date, our time goal is to get this out as fast as we can while still providing a quality product that people can enjoy using with ease. :)

At this point if I'm not working on real life stuff outside of pokecalcntr, then I'm working pretty much exclusively on pokecalcntr, because as tiring as getting gen 6 done is alongside real life, it'll mean a sooner chance that everyone can experience rng for gen 6. And with more than pokecalcntr being needed to rng in gen 6 (like wwwwwwzx's gen 6 rng computer tool), we have a team of people who are working hard on gen 6 rng as a whole for it to be a reality everyone can enjoy together as a community. :grog:

As I suggested earlier, you should post your work on Project Pokemon for more exposure. After all, a lot of the current data structure for Pokemon games was first uncovered by the researchers at PP.

http://projectpokemon.org

There is a section in the forum specifically dedicated to RNG.

That's a great idea - we'll be doing this for both gen 6 and 7 when gen 6 is released.

Note to everyone: Gen 7's v1.2 update is on the cdn, but is not live as of right now. pokeCalcNTR will be getting an update after this has been released to work with 1.2, as well as a few new features.
Thanks @Djura for the heads up!

I wonder what that update provides...? I hope it doesn't mess the RNG up.

It appears the Pokemon Sun and Moon update 1.2 has just been released on the eshop, which is unfortunate since I'm currently cooking dinner right now. pokeCalcNTR will be updated soon and has a few new features as well!
It appears that fixes spiky shield and sky drop bug while fixing pokepelgo month exploit bug.

Is it still possible to download the version for 1.1 anywhere? I'd need it to be able to port PKMN-NTR to 1.2

Sorry for the late response, but it looks like you've succeeded - I make backups of the current updates before installing new ones, which will probably be the best way in the future to help with compatibility. :P.

I saw an SOS counter and I'm very happy

Thanks! I'd love to make it automatic, but Gen 6 is a priority right now. Perhaps afterwards!

Just saw egg accept and reject and SOS counter, but can it be resetted once you get a desired egg?
Did you read my suggestion about connecting TSV to shiny frame, so it'll be highlighted in red or it isn't possible?

Select+X+Y resets the egg counter - I'll have to add that to the pcalc key menu when I'm not sick. ^^; I'll put it in the main thread now though.

While highlighting shiny seeds and frames sounds nice, it'd have to be thought about carefully for the 3ds to effectively do. But the issue is with the many types of rng, the 3ds won't know which type to produce a shiny frame for, and unless it's one of the rare cases where the delay is 0, it usually wouldn't matter anyways.

While egg seeds can have no delay, there's still the difference between the Masuda Method, Shiny Charm, both, and neither. Neither is the most effective since the pid is pulled from the main rng and every egg can be shiny, however this won't use the egg seeds for shininess, so it has the same problem as above. And while mm, sc, and mm+sc pull from egg seeds, this still gives the same problem of "which rng type".

This doesn't seem entirely plausible for many reasons, and either way, gen 6 is still the current priority.

Thank you for your suggestion though! :D

It'll be only for wild/IS, gift pokemon and eggs without shiny charm and Masuda method, that shouldn't be a issue, just a neat suggestion to propose. ;)
Still can't wait for Gen6 RNG implementation.

Hey, for some reason the Start + Select pauses the game, but when I press Select it just unpauses instead of advancing one frame. I just downloaded the update from the eShop and the new version of pokecalcNTR.

Are you sure you're pressing Select and not Start? If you are and still having that issue, you can try redownloading and reinstalling PokeCalcNTR.
