Well, I think everyone can see that I've been busy again... Nothing to worry about though, I estimate only 2 days of good progress (like those two days last month) to finish. I just need to find that time.

What's left:
-Implement tr2 support for the extraction tool -> this is actually trivial and a matter of 1 - 2 hours; it's not even a requirement since many tr2 can be directly replaced for the Vita version, but still, some of them require an extra touch.
-Somehow get the Japanese Vita version of the game (so I know every corresponding English text for each Japanese text on the game), and make the automatic text replacement based on it. This won't take much time either, probably another couple of hours.
-Revert the tr2 encoding, blz2 compression, and loading table scheme, to regenerate the game files in PSP format, after replacing the text. This is what's gonna take more time, probably between 3 and 8 hours of work... depending on how many unpredictable problems I run into, but can be done in a single session

Wow just a month or 2 and the translation will be finish. Please make It playable on a Real PSP.
Many people still using PSP console, just like me. I heard many rumor that this translation project for GE2 is ONLY playable on PPSSPP.
Which translation project? We might be talking about different things...
Which reminds me that I still have to open a specific thread... I mean, I guess this one isn't really about continuing the "GE2 translation project" anymore... This can lead to confusion...

The part about the PPSSPP thing makes no sense since PSP games do run on that emulator (most likely than not) which Fan Translation Groups use to test all their progress.
Now there are PSP games out there that has been modified to the point that it only works for the PPSSPP emulator (and on the PS3 or so I heard) like the "Monster Hunter 3rd HD" which I doubt this has anything to do with what Sky is doing with God Eater 2.

As i understand what SkyBladeCloud trying to do now is - "official translation backport to psp version (from Vita/PC)" and this is not "continuing/finishing current translation" anymore. Also i see no reason why the translation will not work on actual psp.

Depends how it is done. PPSSPP is quite liberal comparing to real PSP. Things which work on PPSSPP perfectly could result in constant freezes or like that on real PSP. Seema that's what they were talking about.

I agree with that, but i belive game will be playable on real psp, Sky know what he is doing.

Yes, thanks, this is what I meant, sorry if it caused any confusion. The thing is that it works on both PSP and PPSSPP, if there was a rumor about it not working on one platform, it doesn't apply to this project. Still, I don't see why the previous project wouldn't work on the actual device either...

I was just explaining how such problem could occur, I never told it have anything to do with this project.
That includes the Encrypted and Decrypted files. Not sure but one of the Decrypted or Encrypted GE2.iso will only work on PPSSPP.

1) Can you link where you read that the translation project will work only on ppsspp? It's totally false information...
2) Latest CFW (pro from beginning and ME thanks to rahimus) support both encrypted or decrypted files inserted in the iso.... Valkyrie chronicles 3 translation project it's a great example. It uses decrypted archive files ( i don't remember the files name atm) and works great on me 2.1 and above and from pro b and above.
Hopefully i was clear...

You know bro SkyBladeCloud i am one of thousand or hundred that waiting for this to play with ppsspp may be i waited for at least 2 years i think! so thank you bro for helping with this game...
Hi Im New Member But im always looking This post and the Older Post, Just Let Me ask 1 Question : What Program U going To use To Patch the GE 2 Cause im Already Done Doing translation in My Own Language, and i cant seem to find the proper Programs To Pack All The Stuf And Patch The game So it can be used
