It's not even that. It depends on what people DO with their 3DSes too.
Screen streaming, screen dimming and blue light filter, screenshits, screen everything
you forgot .plg loader

That reminds me when Pokemon Sun and Moon were leaked early...
- Everybody that used the .cia file and went online? Console banned.
- Everybody that had any other flascart than Gateway? Couldn't even load the game.
- Everybody that used Gateway? Could play online without repercussions.
Tears were flowing from my eyes when I read that all these little cocky brats had their console permanently banned. What was the only method to get the full experience out of one of the most anticipated 3DS games early? Play it on Gateway.
If you want to play leaked 3DS games online without the fear of getting your console permanently banned Gateway has proven itself to be the best choice as well. Which I might add, is a nifty bonus. If I was one of those .cia users my console would've been paperweight but alas. Gateway gave its users a nice unforseen added benefit of keeping our consoles from being permanently banned while playing online early.
because plugin are very customizable.why plg loader when it has its own built in cheat engine to apply or make cheat codes.
Gateway users would still be banned by playing it online before release, same as everyone else. Plus they had an extra danger in not using a private header. Cia installed games have less risk and don't cost anything so....That reminds me when Pokemon Sun and Moon were leaked early...

you press a button to turn on or off, you can edit your cheat codes from the console with the press of a button and save it, you can edit the cheat code without saving it for testing purposes, you can locate codes using memory editor with the press of a button, you can dump the ram with the press of a button.because plugin are very customizable.
Ok Gateway menu is cool, but it's not the best option to manage your cheat code.
id say a fair whack of users who download roms wont even know what a private header is.Gateway users would still be banned by playing it online before release, same as everyone else. Plus they had an extra danger in not using a private header. Cia installed games have less risk and don't cost anything so....
But what would those "useful features" be then? Because if they're just stable and able to play the latest games, other CFWs can do that too, for free (and then 3ds vs cia is a never ending debate).hmmm id rather have stability and useful features to keep playing the latest games. i dont see any use of streaming the screen or taking screenshots
you just don't get it.you press a button to turn on or off, you can edit your cheat codes from the console with the press of a button and save it, you can edit the cheat code without saving it for testing purposes, you can locate codes using memory editor with the press of a button, you can dump the ram with the press of a button.
how hard can it be?

I mentioned screen streaming as an example (among other things) because that's also something that is possible without a Gateway, but in an annoying way, so if Gateway does it better they win a point.
possibility of what?you just don't get it.
I am not talking about how "hard" it is to press button to select cheat, Gateway code are in AR format.
Plugin are made in C, aka more possibility.
tsktsk
honestly it seems the only argument people have is "urgh its not worth the money" that's totally upto the end user, maybe I have £1,000,000 to blow on useless crap, that's upto me
but not only that people are trying to retroactively point out its ripoff, I often see people with this silly mindset, I go buy a game, then 4 years later someone says "hahahaha lololo you paid $50 for that game, look on ebay its only worth $3 you idiot.....and not only that you can get the hd remake for free so why would you want to even pay that when you can get the hd remake for free.....god you guys is sooooo dumb, I am soooooooooo muchos cleverz"
when in actual fact most people bought the card wayyyyyy before the option you are bringing up even existed, and the one they have has features that were not available in the HD remake, sure its not as pretty in some aspects, but what if I want to play that mini game that was cut from the HD remaster? I already own the card, so I can do that for free (as I already have the card).....so why shouldn't I?....sure I can play the HD remaster for free too, so why not let me do both seeing as I can
then you are losing your time here, you should go back to the Luma thread.I dont need facts to say I hate Gateway.
But im not going to leavethen you are losing your time here, you should go back to the Luma thread.
Also, too much emoji = cancer to read
I am the 1st to knew it kid xdThis whole community is cancer

support will only stop when the demand or console is dead.Exactly: have this card since the beginning, even when it was 1 rom per micro-sd (autumn 2013) and it still does a great job. It was and still is worth every euro-cent I paid for it.
and if support is dropped, well....... whoop-di-f**ng-doo...... still a great flashcard.
that is the good point to also make, people who use gateway are doing so for one thing..... free games.
Hold on a second there, Sparky. I literally own EVERY. SINGLE. GAME. I had on my Gateway cart. I bought one because I was primarily a business traveler and it meant not packing a shitload of carts in my laptop/carry-on bag and pulling them out to swap during flights or waiting in the flight lounges. Additionally, it was a great way to use cheats were I so inclined. Make no mistake, for a majority, piracy is clearly the highest purchase motivator. However, it's not the ONLY one.
