About the Game:
Nope, this is not Style Savvy, more like a mature take on Style Savvy (at least, that's what I think :P).
You got fashion items like in SS, but from what it looks like, I think there's a dating mode. So, it's basically Style Savvy, but with dating.
This game has high-quality graphics and sound that pushes the NDS to it's limits, and even the 3DS version looks great!

About this Patch:
This patch will translate most of the graphics (Title Screen, My Room, Dresser, etc.), as well as a few dialogue, to English.
This was made back in August of 2015, so I thought I'd show it off here, as well as work on it more, years later.
As of currently, @MooshyPon and Iku are working on the translation.
An AP patch is built-in to the translation patch, so it'll also work with flashcard kernels that don't contain built-in AP patching, as well as nds-bootstrap (the backend of TWiLight Menu++).

DS Version
Requires one of these
  • a DS emulator
  • a DS console with a flashcard (such as R4(i), DSTT(i), Acekard 2(i), etc.)
  • or a DSi/3DS/2DS with the TWiLight Menu++ GUI installed (nds-bootstrap (included) itself, runs the game)

Use the included DeltaPatcherLite to apply the patch to a clean un-patched ROM.

3DS Version
Requires one of these

Luma
  1. Put the "0004000000071D00" folder in "sd:/luma/titles/".
  2. Enable game patching in the Luma config menu.
Citra
  1. In the game list, right-click on FabStyle.
  2. Click "Open Mods Location".
  3. In the FabStyle English 7z file, go into "0004000000071D00".
  4. Drag the "romfs" folder to the opened mod location.

Hi there! I don't know if it's too late to do this but do you have the 3DS version? Because I would like to get translations for the 3DS version as well. I really prefer to play the game on the 3DS instead.

Do you want to try? I mean the 3DS version is cool. Like there are movies in it. So what do you think?

Yep, the 3DS version certainly has higher resolution, and 3D visuals.
About translating the 3DS version, I extracted the RomFS of the rom, and there's an unknown file extension called ".g1t". I have no idea how to edit files with that extension.

It's been a while, but today, I translated a bit more stuff.

v1.1 is now released!
  • Added cool new Robz8 splash above the "Ruby Party Presents" text.
  • Most translated button graphics now have their white glow restored.
  • "Sound" is changed to "Sound Volume" in Title Screen.
  • All Title Screen buttons are now translated.
  • Sound Volume screen is now translated.
  • The Japanese brand name text below the English brand names have been removed in the Closet screen.
  • To make up for not being able to translate the 3DS version, the banner icon is now animated, as the crown twinkles a bit like in the 3DS version!
This makes this the first ever DS translation project to have an animated banner icon!
The icon animation can be seen on the 3DS HOME Menu as a forwarder, and on NO$GBA running the DSi Menu.
You can get v1.1 in the first post. Screenshots are also updated.

@jjjewel I hate to pester you, seeing that you're busy with stuff.
From looking at this post, it seems like you worked on translating the game as well.
If it's not too much trouble, any chance of PM'ing me the translated files?
I'll credit you for the use of them. :)

I'd translate some more, but my Japanese knowledge is pretty much lacking.

  1. Make a backup of your FabStyle ROM file.
  2. Open "DeltaPatcher.exe" or "DeltaPatcherLite.exe".
  3. For the original file, search for the FabStyle ROM file.
  4. For the XDelta patch, search for "FabStyle English Project.xdelta".
  5. Click "Apply patch", and the English patch will be installed to the ROM file.
As for playing this on your DS, do you own a flashcard?

Thank you so much! I don't know how to extract/make a backup of the ROM file though :( because I own a cartridge version.
By flashcard, did you mean SD card? I don't have my DS or DSi anymore, I am playing it on my 3ds right now. I also have luma and FBI, ect if that helps :)

Thank you so much again!

i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling

even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling

LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
