How to run SNES/NES/GB/GBC/GBA Games on Xbox One

Disclaimer - As always I encourage you to only use backups of games you actually own.

This tutorial is a bit different from some of the recent ones. Some of you may remember last fall there was an emulator that slipped onto the Xbox One called "Nesbox". It was removed shortly after it was uploaded to the store along with the Nintendo 64 Emulator that accompanied it. However since then Nesbox has been ported to HTML5 and you can now run it directly from the Microsoft Edge Browser.

[1.] First you will want to upload any backup roms you have to your onedrive account on your pc.
[2.] Once that is done go to your Xbox Ones web browser and type in https://nesbox.itch.io/x1
[3.] Once there just press A on your controller and it will switch to full screen.
[4.] Select the rom file that you want to play and it will load. You can also map the controller if you desire.

As far as performance is concerned everything runs great with the exception of gba games which can be a bit laggy. The Nice thing about this is it runs in the browser so even as Emulators are being banned and pulled from the store this will most likely be around for awhile.

Here is a video tutorial showing off some of the games running in Nesbox

EDIT: I forgot to mention this Emulator also supports Sega Genesis games as well.

You are better off hacking a already broken PS4 OS.

Or you could just get an Xbox One for cheaper and use Emulators through the browser and sideload them in Dev Mode and save all the extra money you would end up having to throw down on a rare 1.76 or before OFW PS4. I like modded Playstations as much as the next guy, but that's just my two cents

What are you on about? No one said anything about using dev mode on xbox one.

You already have a shitton of consoles , and yet you still want a console only to play the same games from the consoles you already own °-°?

Ahem , getting back to topic : Its great to see how the Xbox One has been getting emulators lately! Hopefully this could mean something for a new Xbox One homebrew community!

Honestly I'd have to credit Microsoft for actually giving rise to the Xbox One homebrew community. From the moment they decided to allow people to write UWP C++/C# Code an run it on their Xbox One and sideload apps, Homebrew on the Xbox became realized without anyone having to even hack it.

For some reason I cannot get my PC or phone to connect to my Xbox One via browser when I enter the IP of my Xbox One. Everything has been set up correctly in developer settings etc.. Nothing will connect. I turned off my firewall/antivirus and nothing. Any Ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

You also risk getting banned when you try to release emulators on ps4, you do not have that problem with xbox one
