I just tried it. Not only, did it not connect; but not my phone says NZ@McD is out of range.

Edit: Ok connected on my phone, But, nothing it happening. I can't connect to the chrome, f. ex. And Still getting a 003-2103 error on my 3DS.

You shouldn't be able to connect to NZ@McD on your phone unless you have the WPA key, on your 3DS you should just be able to connect to eShop and play Games online I believe won't work with 3DS browser and you don't need to add it too your connection list in your 3DS. Really NZ@McD should just run in the background so when your 3DS is asleep it gets Streetpasses and use your home network for when your playing games and things on your 3DS.

You're right, however. I did the step with netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=NZ@McD key=3DS_Test
Where I checked my 3DS connection afterward. Im, not getting any connection to the internet.

Oh my bad. Ah, I would think that either your not sharing any internet to your hosted network or entering the key incorrectly, sounds more like no sharing any internet. (Sometimes when I troubleshoot stuff like this a computer restart seems to work magic sometimes lol)

I think I figured it out. My wireless network keeps showing up as an unidentified public network, instead of a home network. That's been a problem in the past. Now I just have to figure out how to fix it.

Yeah it says no internet access, I would check that you are sharing internet. Probably with Local Area Connection

I'm sharing it (Wireless to NZ@McD).
Something I noticed though, is in my wireless properties, under IPv4 "Obtain IP address automatically" is checked. While under properties for NZ@McD "Use the following IP address" is checked with the IP, being 191 something or other. Shouldn't these be switched?

Edit: Ive been Googling ang Googling. Finally found a Reddit page. Apparently, I'm not the only one who's been having issues. When I find the page again I'll post it. Someone said the macs are changing however the packets aren't being delivered.
Some others have noted that they've been having issues with NZ@McD since around the 19th of January. They were getting a lot of street passes, then down to about 4 then, nothing.
I think I remember someone said they found a work around for windows.
I'll post the page when I find it. I'm away from my computer at the moment.

Re-Edit: I can't find the article. However; I decided to try maccheck.cmd. I keep getting an invalid XSL format. Anyone know how to fix this?

Re-re-edit: after almost a whole week... I finally am getting streetpasses again.
Sometimes it's the simplest solution.
I'm not sure, but I think it's because I unplugged my ethernet cable.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm not too sure, can't remember ever getting an error message like that. I have gotten error messages about ics not working and I would just restart computer to fix that.

@Rhyz
Hello Rhyz! Many thanks for your program ! It works fine (not for cycling, but it doesn't matter : I start and I stop, and restart etc..... and it's ok !).
At first, i please you to excuse me for my bad English language (I'm not so fluent in English...sorry about that!)
Then : I want to ask you what is the script of your program ? I'm very surprise, it is the only one that it works for me !!! I try so many others programs with no success !
So, if it is not possible to obtain the script, could you tell us if it is possible to do the same program with a line which ask us the ssid (so we can try the ssid we want, like we do with the mac adress) ?? The problem is that with the ssid=NZ@McD, we met always the same people... I would like to obtain new miis !
Anyway, I would like to thank you for all !!

Weird that it doesn't cycle, what are you entering for the time of cycles?
I think your asking for the script, unfortunately I won't be releasing that at the moment I do plan to put most of it on GitHub at some point in time.
I have seen this too with NZ@McD only having very few people using it, I'm not too sure if many people use Windows anymore for Homepass as you need to have a network with a password, so that stops us from using SSID's like attwifi etc. It has got me thinking that hopefully soon I will add some legitimate Streetpass relays as I have done this before and gotten many Streetpasses from many different people.

Hi ! Thank you Rhyz, for the response. I enter 5, then 30 minutes for the cycles... I think something in my computer block RhyzHomepass.exe when it try to change mac adress... In fact, the program works always, but no streetpass anyway, no communication between 3DS and my computer... so I shut down and restart RhyzHomepass.exe... Then it works for the first cycle (it takes about 1 minutes to obtain streetpass...). It's fine for me, it doesn't matter if I have to do some manipulations...
I'm quite exalted to obtain your future program with added streetpass relays ! Thanks a lot !

Hi Duke,

I am running the router scripts at the moment and it seems to work fine with only GBATEMP as the MAC list in the command. However, I haven't used this in a while, so is this normal to only get 3-6 Miis at a time?

Is it really not good at all for router users to use other MAC list?

Hello everyone!

I am using:
-TL-WN75725N USB adapter
-Win 10 (Stationary)
-Have VRM
-Have Macshift

I've been trying to use this tutorial http://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-have-a-homemade-streetpass-relay.352645/#Windows7

I get stuck when I am supposed to try to connect my 3ds to the hostednetwork that I create through CMD. I even try using other devices to connect to the new hostednetwork, however I get "Wrong password" or "can't connect" ? I do get access to the internet as it shows on the icon, still I can't get the 3DS to find it also my iPod would find it, however not be able to connect and get access to the internet.

Any idea what I should do?

Thx in advance!

UPDATE!
I managed to set up a working Wi-Fi on MacOS with MAC address. However, I'm not sure if the SSID matter? Considering I reside in Sweden. I've tried "Nintendo Zone" and trying now "NZ@McD" with no results (No Mii's and can't connect to Nintendo Zone App).

@An-Da: You are using the wrong zones, mate!

NZ@McD ist a WPA2 Password protected Zone (McDonalds Italy). It will only work, if your AccessPoint has the same Password the original Zone has.

"Nintendo Zone": There's no such Zone!

The only Zones that work without a Password (Warning: you have to configure your AP to NO SECURITY! You can only use MAC filter) are:

attwifi
noasp01
noasp02
Boingo Hotspot
boingo hotspot
ATL-Wi-Fi
NintendoSpotPass1
NintendoSpotPass2
Nintendo_Zone1
Toronto Pearson Wi-Fi
McDonalds Free WiFi
AWG-WiFi
CLT Free WiFi
IND_PUBLIC_WiFi
LAX-WiFi
MIA-WiFi
RDU Free WiFi
San.Diego.Airport.Free.WIFI
flysacramento
LANOIA_FREE_WIFI

I got the most Hits with "Nintendo_Zone1".
These are only for Streetpass-Relay. None of these feature Nintendo Zone Content, because Nintendo shut them all down. These are only used by users from Home. So you will see some Miis over and over.

Streetpass Relay works like this:
SSID & MAC are send to Nintendo. They give you the last 6 Streetpasses that have the same combination. This is send via your AP. It's just a matter of the users at home all choosing the same SSID and the same MAC. If you are using a Password protected SSID (without the right password) the 3DS can't connect to Nintendo = No Streetpasses.

To get a "real" Zone you have to have the Passwords for these Zones.

Regards,

Kirky

For router users it is actually does not matter which addresses are, what does mater is using the same addresses for attwifi SSID, since in tha Americas region streetpas data are bound to MAC address and only shared between only on StreetPass Weekends (Unlike in Europe, where streetpass data was shared between MACs, can't say for sure now)
So, if everyone on GBATEMP was using this list with the recommended SSID, you'll get more. List 49 is for spotted real attwifi points, but this is data collected for several years and noone knows which is actually still have a physical access point, so, again, the more people using list 49, the more streetpasses you'll get.

Using the same addresses for Windows and router are useless:
- SSID differs (Windows requires password-protected SSID)
- MAC alters (Windows CAN'T set MAC address of the actual physical adapter and also in most cases alters the lowest octet of MAC address)

Don't forget, there was a firmware updete recently that means some time must pass to refresh streetpass data, since looks data left by previous firmware is ignored.
