Hardware Should i buy a New 3DS Xl now in 2017?

Hi guys ^-^ now i finally am able to save money again. But i am not sure what i should buy with it. I know the nintendo switch is selling well but it has no games for it. I already got breath of the wild for wii u. 1-2 switch is boring and u can play skyrim on a pc.
And mario kar 8...deluxe.. nah never


I played all my 3ds favorites like mario zelda pokemon etc. Do u think j should buy a 3ds xl new. Already have the o3ds xl.
Is the diamond/pearl remake thing confirmed.?

Then there's no reason to buy a New 3DS. And no - the New 3DS Xenoblade doesn't look better. In fact, it looks worse. But it's still fun to play.

n3ds vs 2ds is the real question and i say your really not missing much as far as games there are few/useless n3ds exclusives

also the point of dsi was to add an update-able fw to the ds line as an attempt to block flashcards

It's not worthless now, the 3D works and games require the extra ram, in the old 3ds boot for Pokémon is near 30s compared to 4s on the new 3ds not having to go to extended ram mode, poochy and yoshi Woolly world runs at 30fps compared to 60 on the new 3ds

N3ds has snes games, if your interested in that. I would just wait a while and see how things turn out on the Switch.

I'm interested in the Switch, but like you said, there aren't any games now. I'm a bit worried that it's just gonna be like the Wii U.

It was just a little joke, calm down.
And, even though Switch is a Wii U successor, it's still a handheld device. 3DS will be alive probably until Switch will be confirmed to be successful.

I say buy a new3DS.
Comparing it to my old3DS, it's completely worth it. The hardware is better, games run better, everything is just better. Plus current systems on the market should still be on 11.2.

We have 2 3DS Xl's and 1 regular 3DS at my house (all running a9lh and luma). I'm going to pick up a "NEW 3DS XL Galaxy Style" today. I'm hoping it's still on 11.2 or lower.

FYI: Slickdeals has a deal right now where you can buy $100 ToysRUs gift cards for $85 (through ebay & paypal). I picked up 2 of them today which will save me $30 off the price of the New 3DS XL. Pretty good deal and they email you the gift cards within a few hours of purchasing them. The deal is still active in case anyone wants it.

UPDATE: I picked up the NEW 3DS XL GALAXY today at TRU and it was on 11.2.

Too true! What I want to know from Nintendo themselves and know one has ever seemed to of challenged them about this issue, what ever happened to these exclusive New Nintendo 3DS games/software that they promised us all? they have literally brought out 1 exclusive game on its release date back in early 2015, that's now over 2 years ago so wheres the rest!

Not sure i understand. You say you've played all the games you want to play on your o3ds. Why do you need a new 3ds then? Are you going to play the same games again?
