Complete and self proclaimed noob to 3DS modifications, basically I've been moving house recently and whilst sorting out my junk I found I have a 3DS XL which I thought I had sold quite a while ago!
Anyway as it has been collecting dust for so long it is running a really old firmware, 4.5.0-10E so where is the best place to start with that? Do I need to update to a later firmware somehow first or is it best sticking on that one to get going?

DO yourself a favor and move away from RxTools, its outdated and most people wont help you with it. Best way to mod your console is this, you can also refer to the links on my sig

Well, I have Luma3DS installed. And restored my system.
It didnt reboot so I did the following:
- Well, I didn't update succefully to the latest firmware yet. So why delete it yet? right...
Wanted to update but kept getting connection errors.
So I decided to follow the instructions to CTRTransfer to 9.2.
So now my system boots in FW: 9.2 (I understand its not a problem, because of Luma3DS)
and I still need to do an update. (which still gives me connection errors... Error-code: 003-2101 / 003-1101)
So now what? I've tried changing my 2,4GHz channels and even disabled the security.
My modem also has an wireless option which is not that advanced as my AirportExtreme router.
But I still keep getting connection errors...
Sometimes it gives me a progress bar and after a while it tells me an error has occurred, system needs to be restarted...
Could I just stay on 9.2 or are there more benefits into updating to the latest firmware?

Update: I did another first try update in the early morning and it seems to give me a full progress bar. Weird.
I did not have any other internet problems on other devices...
But the update was a succes, in the first try. FBI injected, Homebrew channel installed.
I'm happy! Now I have a hacked PSP and a hacked 3DS.

It seems like my O3DS on luma can't really get a stable internet connection.
When I setup my router and test the connection, everything seems perfect.
While updating or browsing I get connection errors.
In 3ds.guide it is said to update system before injecting FBI. But could I skip this and put FBI on it anyway? It bothers me that I cant update to the last firmware.

Hello! I'm a complete noob needing help. I want to:
- Install DLCs (because some of them, like Shin Megami Tensei IV ones, aren't available in my country).
- Use cheats (solo player and debugging, for example).
- Use some type of flashcard, like Gateway or 3DS.
My current firmware is 11.1.0.8-U.
What's recommended in my case? Should I CFW it? If yes, is Luma3DS the best choice?

Anyways, after that, i updated to 11.3, i try and access the e-shop. At first, i got a network error, but then, i got error code 002-0121.
I panicked.
Anyways, i deleted all the titles i had installed and formatted with TinyFormat, it didn't work.
I tried injecting an unbanned LocalFriendCodeSeed_B i got from a warez site. Anyways, that didn't work either. Fuck my life.
Any tips?
