Nintendo has put out a trailer for the latest upcoming Fire Emblem game, showcasing animation cutscenes, voice acting, and gameplay. Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is set to launch May 19, 2017 for the Nintendo 3DS.

They're really going all-out on Fire Emblem, aren't they? Fates: Birthright, Conquest, and that third one felt like yesterday. Since then, we've had a mobile title and 3 future FE games in the next year.

Wow that was a short video. Phoenix wright spirit of justice has a 8 Minute animated video just telling the prologue of the game's story. This didn't even last a minute. Also there was one scene that got me curious, it look like a dungeon exploration mode rather than the common tactical battle, wonder if that perhaps is a different play style for the game to have variety than the tactical battles.

To be honest, if a fire emblem game was more like kid icarus uprising, i be happy and buy that. I didn't care much about story or plot, but the game play for kid icarus was fun in both rail shooting and dungeon exploration. Make a mode like that in fire emblem, and i would try it, (just don't make it like dynasty warriors and the other rip off clones that exist all of a sudden)

Just so they can sell each other. If they put character in Echos into FE Warriors then when people see it, they will want to play it too.

That is the same reason why they start to bring FE to US starting from FE7 because someone play Smash Bro. ask who is that guy with sword, and it also the reason why Corrin is a DLC for SSB4 at last minutes.

Gaiden is one of my favorite Fire Emblem games despite it being a bit clunky. It's definitely my favorite famicom game. I hope this remake is better than Gaiden or at least good.

Not that that's a bad thing, it's awesome actually. But it explains why they can get it out so fast.

I'm definitely interested. It looks pretty good. Hopefully it has a decent story, i've never played the original. Awakening and Fates definitely left a lot to be desired when it came to story...

I honestly can't wait, even though I am a newbie to this series. Still on Awakening. Too bad I have to leave for a vacation on the same day. Who else is gonna pre order

can't wait for switch iteration. i hope this franchise kills it on switch. big potential system seller along with 3D pokemon. please nintendo do it and give the switch a real chance at dominating this gen.
