I want to buy new 3DS but i'm afraid it will have 11.3 (Pearl White or Metallic Blue) ;/
Id get a metallic blue cause I like the color, Its also a bit harder to notice dirt, although fingerprints show a bit more. You can still homebrew, but cfw will take some time. Just don't update 11.3, Some genius out there may one day exploit it.

I have a red N3DS XL and smudges are super noticeable. I got a screen protector set and a Nerf Armor case pretty much day one. Nerf case is 3DSXL/N3DSXL compatible, so it doesn't fit perfectly, but it works pretty good. Its enough to help me stop worrying about the 3DS getting scratched up or dropped and broken. Honestly, I'd imagine the galaxy design would be pretty good for hiding dirt and fingerprints, but I could be wrong.
I mean if it doesn't have the firmware try to exchange it for another one. I'm sure the store would let you do that.

They may let you, but they'll want to know what's wrong with it. "Oh um...yeah it....its the wrong firmware?" and they laugh you out the store. Most stores are pretty careful about that stuff since a bunch of people have been buying a PS4 in like Walmart, buying a 50$ broken one on ebay, and swapping them to try and return it for another one or a refund.

When I was buying my iPhone, I wanted a specific iOS version. I told them about that and they let me keep checking one phone after another until I found the version I wanted. (I had to connect it to my laptop via USB and run a diognostic tool to see the version of an unactivated iOS device. They let me do that with no questions.)

Ha, wow. I haven't had a jailbroken iPhone since iOS 7. Mainly cuz my last iPhone was the 4 which won't take anything after that. Hahaha....I just wiped it the other day actually...SO slow. Back to normal speed...for now :P

My friend said I could jailbreak iphone 5 before and I had 8.4 jailbreak, I decided to try doing it as I somehow lost cydia while managing to many files. After I updated I found out only iphone5s can get jailbreak because 64bit. Basically I lost it, the only things I own that has jailbreak is... My ipad 2....... My sister has iphone5s on 8.4 jailbreak but its wasted on her as she doesn't even use it (or know how in fact)... she doesn't want to trade for an black iphone 5 (of course!!!) with her white one. My mum and dad both have jailbreak on their iphone 6, (my mum dosent use it D;) and my dad doesn't do jailbreak anymore. My mum then recently got an iphone 7 from my dad but he kept her iphone 6 and wont give me or my sister a better phone >:( #Storyofmylife A jailbroken family with only 2 users..........
And then I found out I could manually install packages using ifile which my phone once had after losing cydia ;( P.S my cydia on ipad wont work now, it keeps giving me a notice on how it cannot find source. But ifile is installed. I have cydia eraser but my macs itunes is to new for taiG to work......... Wtf I just realised im talking about jailbreak/root on a 3ds homebrew thread ;D

No I dont.. but in the reinand menu I can use the homebrew launcher, or the xodpad and FBI option to restore the emunand.. that help? Never use it before really but it says is potentially dangerous.. also i Read that you cant downgrade hardmod this firmware.. I dont know if using emunand you can.

Sorry for the noobs questions and Thanks really for answering.. i feel so dumb for how this happen..
Late reply but if you only updated your emuNAND then all you need to do is download the latest Luma3DS and replace the ReiNAND files with it (you only need the boot.3dsx and arm9loaderhax.bin from the Luma3DS archive)
When you get into the Luma3DS settings after a reboot enable the "Show current NAND in System Settings" setting and press Start (it doesn't say exactly that but it's something along those lines)

I just bought 3ds and im new on the scene. When is it at least expected? A month? Two? Half year? Year?

If you're wanting to play roms in the meantime you can get yourself a Sky3DS+ - anything from now, till a year, two years idk. Whenever a vuln is found and exploited then released publicly. You will find out here when it's announced firstly/Twitter

I am using a9lh with luma3ds and I updated my emunand to 11.3. Now it freezes on autoboot through ctrbootmanager. I can still run luma3ds from the homebrew menu though. Is there any way to fix this? Would it be possible to downgrade back to 11.2?

Im not sure if gateway is updated to the latest 11.3 version, but it supports cia's igm hacks and more. Although if you just want games you should go with a sky3ds. If you buy it I recommend the new orange button even though it has an absurd price. There aren't as many flash carts for a 3ds. The average time for a new exploit is at least a few years, because 11.3 was mostly focused on stopping exploits. It also depends on how fast a new update comes out. If you really want lumas3ds+A9LH Id go to another store and ask them for a older version. If they really can't find one or wont let you id go online to get a used 3ds with the hacks installed or a lower version. Although it may be preowned thats the safest bet i'm afraid :( at least until a new exploit comes out before a new update. Normally when A exploit is found they try to sneak the information without Nintendo noticing them. After that it will take at least a few months or years to code.......... Sorry for the baddish news ;(

Sky3DS and Sky3DS+ are both pretty nifty if you don't want to get custom firmware, or you can't. They're the main one besides Gateway, which constantly needs support to be updated. Sky3DS is support free, it needs no additional software. You press a switch and the game is detected as being ejected, and another one inserted. It's great for playing games for free, and keeping your collection together on the go. That being said, it doesn't support eShop titles (to my knowledge) and you need a MicroSD card for it to work. I suggest getting one if all you want is free retail games. Though I don't condone piracy. I have a Sky3DS and used it until I got my CFW installed. Now it's gathering dust, and it doesn't support Pokemon Sun/Moon (at least I don't think so). Might give it to a friend or something but I don't know. As for Sky3DS+ I don't know much about it, but I'd imagine it works much the same, with the difference of having updates possible. With homebrew (which you CAN do on 11.3) and Sky3DS there isn't much you can't do. Custom themes, free retail games, .3dsx programs in userland, homebrew games, and more. It's a good start to someone "new to the scene".

If you're going to tell us the good news, tell us. Don't be the professor but leave us hanging. "Good news everyone!" and we're supposed to go over to the website because you can't just say "Apparently ReiNAND works on 11.3 go check it out" and we'd just say that you probably should move on from ReiNAND anyways so it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Sorry to rant, but I can't stand two word posts followed by a link.
