I install a .cia, the space gets reduced but when I exit NASA, the game is nowhere to be found plus when I re enter NASA, the free space is the same as before the importation. Any thoughts? I am on Gaateway mode
If you're on Gateway you can use a normal cia installer. Use FBI. NASA is really just for those on 9.3-10.7 who want to install legit cias.

No!

Soundhax is just a free offline entrypoint to the homebrew channel. You can use emulators and other homebrew on your 3DS. Other than that, not much has changed:

  • To install legit CIAs you need slowhax (works on firmwares up to 11.1) or fasthax (not yet released but should work on everything up to 11.2)
  • To install everything and take control of the 3DS, you need to downgrade and install ARM9LoaderHax. For that you either do a hardmod or use a DSiWare exploit.

HOW TO USE NETWORK INSTALLATION (HOUSTON)

To use network installation feature, you need to start NASA and check the IP showed on top screen.
Then you can open a terminal (Linux/Mac) / command-line prompt (Windows) and launch houston with the IP showed on 3DS (without the part after ":") and the CIA filename as arguments. Example:
Code:
houston 192.168.1.60 file.cia

I do not understand how this works. I opened a CMD and typed in houston ip and file.cia and it just says this isn't a recognizable command. When I try opening houston I get a missing cygwin1.DLL error. I don't know anything about how to work CMD and I am new to FTP. There aren't any videos showing the process either.

How do I use filezilla with this to install a CIA? In easy terms please :yay3ds:

Thanks for the awesome app, I will be using this instead of FBI if I can get it to work.

Try using SocketPunch with FBI. Also most homebrew is either available on TitleDB in FBI or as a QR code. Games can be gotten from CIAngel or freeShop. There's very limited use case for OTA installation with SocketPunch or Houston.

Since A9LH on 11.2 is a thing now thanks to soundhax+fasthax+safehax, I'm curious: Can NASA be used to install non-legit CIAs (in this case, FBI) on an 11.2 3DS running Luma? A friend of mine just got his 3DS A9LH'd and he can't get FBI injection to work for him, so I'm wondering if this could be an alternative for him to get FBI on there.
