Castlevania Season 1, Part 1 Coming to Netflix in 2017

That's the only official announcement made by Netflix about an upcoming TV show based on the wildly popular video game series.

Produced by Adi Shankar, the latter announced that Warren Ellis is in charge of writing for Seasons 1 & 2 and Adventure Time's Kevin Kolde is also involved. In his Facebook post, Shankar "personally guarantee(s) that it will end the streak and be the western world’s first good video game adaptation." He also revealed that Season 2 is planned to be released in 2018.

All of this sounds very optimistic and appears to be another attempt to break the never-ending curse of awful video game adaptations. However, Netflix has a pretty good track record of running shows and there are some who say that it'll be an animated series.

In any case, we'll be experiencing the evolution of "Netflix and Chill"...

If anything, i expected metal gear Movie/anime/cartoon/tv show before castlevania. Just don't use the simon belmot from Captian N please.

That story is also confusing enough about ailen bird people from space rasing a orphan girl to be a super powered chozo robot bounty hunter to fight in a tournement known as smash bros. (Wait that isn't the story right?)

Well did they raise her and train her to combat the space pirates and the monsters like Ridley, and the metroid? (Wait is not it either?)

Well i mean i would like to least have them try and explain MORPH BALL.

really, I don't understand how they could be so bad at it and for so long...
There are a lot of good fan works but come to official thing and we get these sheets :/ just hire the right persons xD
hope this gonna be an start for good video games based animations :/ else let if for the Japanese and just help with special effects =A=

I personally have never been much into the series but I will give it a shot and it could perhaps become a good example of how to properly do video game to tv adaptions

well, movies based on games are generally bad, but let's see if Series are a diferent story. I'll give'em the benefit of the doubt since there's lot of people saing there are good netflix exclusives. Hope it's a good thing + good thing = great thing scenario, but well, only time will tell.
