Nintendo shares rise by 6.33% due to the successful launch of Fire Emblem Heroes

It looks like investors are once again pleased by Nintendo's fledgling attempts in the mobile market, as shares are rising quickly after the release of their latest phone game, Fire Emblem Heroes. Partner company DeNA, who helped in the development of Heroes also saw a rise in value by 3.50%. This, interestingly, follows Nintendo dropping 6.50% after their reveal of the Nintendo Switch in October, and another drop of 6% following the January 12 Switch Direct video.

Thank you, oh knowledgeable investors, for being SO CONFIDENT you know where the future of gaming lies that you decide to throw your throbbing, swollen, sacks of money around to make sure things go the way you "know" they should, all while you yourselves being as far removed from gaming as a sense of perspective is from that skipping gramophone in your heads. What would we possibly do without your oh-so-wise opinions? How about we find out.

So are all these statistics based on how many people clicked install on google play? :P
No, it just means people are investing more in those companies' stocks. It's no secret that Nintendo's investors want them to move completely over into the mobile market, even going so far as to hope the Switch fails at launch so that Nintendo will "wake up" and develop entirely for mobile platforms. This rise in investments as a reaction to FEH is just a push towards that goal. That's the reason for my aggressive post earlier; investors are trying to tell Nintendo what to do regardless of how the developers or customers feel about it.

I will be honest and say i don't quite understand the desire for mobile market, as i see it a way to get people to stop spending time in doors with consoles and maybe (More work time or something else) I dunno, I am okay with somethings but i been worried nintendo has been kinda focused on mobile gaming recently since the wii u was released. I still want console quality project games, and is nice to have them to play anywhere, but when they start reducing the well known games to "quick rich water down products" (And i say this without intentionall offense) Is very disengaging. I just hope people can get along with stuff and let people do the stuff they want to, not hope something fails to be standing by saying "I TOLD YOU SO!" and kincking them while they are down. :(

For the guys who tried it:
Is it comparable to handheld versions? (doubt it)
And is it worth playing if you don't put $$$ in it?

You mean the one we pay almost 40$ per game? No, it doesn't even let you change your unit class.

And if you don't put money in it then good luck with 1-2 5* character for all your game, and there is an upgrade feature where you need 10,000 token in game and you can get 5 of them when add a friend or 1000 if you top at arena every 4 days (yeah, they sell those token too for "a reasonable price") so yeah, you can still play it without money.

it's not broken and half-assed at launch like GO was.
Getting error codes, consistent crashes, the download being stuck, friend code system not working, network errors

But hey hey hey, ya know. A perfect fucking launch.

1. those were explained as being bans for rooted devices, and they were having server issues so they delayed launch in USA, and they fixed all of those before they released in USA
2. Nope, haven't crashed once and been playing a ton since launch. I would like to see some evidence of this.
3. Works fine for me
4. Bad internet? The only time i got a network error was when i turned off both wifi and data while playing.

well yeah, if you feel comfortable playing the game with a group of noname losers. if you want to play with things you like, you need to spend money.

Actually if you're picky you need to pray to RNGesus because even $10,000 might not get the exact team you want.
It's really not too hard to get some good characters, especially if you're fine rerolling. Unlike some gachas it's a pretty fast game to reroll.

Overall solid game and very F2P friendly so far.

Aside from shadow ban crashes for root, none of what you're saying actually happened to the masses. I haven't seen a single complaint about most of those issues, and i've played for hours myself without any issues. You either have a rooted phone, a shit phone or garbage internet/data connection.

This is exactly why I had Nintendo stock, because I know there are hikes like this where the rate increases drastically over stupid things. But I sold my stock a while back because it was really more of a test to see how it would do over time rather than a profit-gainer, since I barely put anything into it. :P

It makes me sad that this is where investors feel the future of Nintendo is... This half-done, casual, freemium nonsense. Thankfully Nintendo is continuing to innovate with the Switch, but a company cannot ignore their financial obligations and I would hate to see Nintendo sell-out to cheap wins over something truly new and creative.

At this point i believe that the error is because shit-phones. I've seen some non-rooted people getting those error codes, including myself.
