I don't get the hate for online games?
Well, they have the objective problem that (unlike most multiplayer PC games of the 90s?), most current online games require servers that 1- may not have the actual software available, 2- the game may not support custom servers without hardpatching/custom DNS, 3- be paid, 4- all of the above, the concern that games with ever more conspicuous online features may become much less interesting in a few years should be a serious issue!

Hate Monster Hunter. Love God Eater, though, so it's not at all the concept, but entirely the execution.
I also hate Dark Souls, and Pokemon doing nothing to reinvent itself leave me not liking it anymore. Wind Waker never did much for me, but I can't say I hate it. Do people love Mega Man Legends 2? Because I think it's terrible, even though I loved the first game. People generally like MGSV, right? Hated that too, even though I'm a big MGS fan.

I adore the Boktai franchise, but that's really more of a "no-one's heard of it" than "people hate it."
Um... I'm actually having trouble thinking of things I like which are unpopular. I think Odin Sphere Leifthrasir deserves FAR more attention than it got, but I can't remember anyone actually disliking it...

Just by my opinion, i think the dislike for sonic heroes, is probably the weakness and flaw that it has. Due to the way it was programed in nature, that allowed for it to be ported to multiple platforms instead of just one exclusive like Game cube or something, it suffered a lot and on various situations. The ps2 is probably not the best which i played, and just from experience alone, is very repeative considering to complete the game you have to use all 4 teams and while most play the same, is basically a difficulty selection, sonic being normal, Dark being hard, Rose, being easy, and Chaotix being some sort of puzzle solving. While it incorped unique personality and game play for each it wasn't bad in gameplay but it seem much unlick a sonic game with some pausing to solve some situations, not to mention the glitches.

The game personally has some good and bad points, the one thing i don't like is how it opened up this Skill system used in other games regarding the Speed flight and power system. While sonic advance 3 wasn't as bad using it, just made it seem a bit bad not knowing which combination of characters to use for effective game play, and sonic riders having it made some characters seem better than others since each skill had a shortcut that was exclusive to them, that the character stats and gears hardly mattered with just using shortcut is hardly much skill to the gameplay. Every since they stop making sonic games featuring multiple players it really hasn't be a thing.

The thing about shadow the hedgehog that turned most people off was the voice acting was replaced with the english dub sonic X cast rather than use the sonic heroes cast. Once again the game doesn't feel much like a sonic game but it was still fun, like sonic heroes i say it has ups and down. There is much worst sonic games and hardly these two end up on those list. The multiple stages are nice and the influcence of dark and hero just made it based off sonic adventure two chao garden. :P

Is fustrating in that some objectives aren't fun like "Destory all enemies" Or find something or what ever, Griding and wall riding is fun, even though grinding has lost is challenge factor that Sonic adventure 2 made grinding famous for in a sonic game, using some weapons are nice and the different transportation to ride, makes me think they were trying to make sonic a halo game. The fun in the game focus more on gameplay rather than story and not all stages are constructed badly (I seen worst remember knuckles chaotix?) :ninja:

I don't get the hate for online games? I understand that there's a better camaraderie when people play together on the couch, but there's a lot of fun to be had with calling someone and playing over voice chat. At least, that's just my opinion.
Interacting with other people is bad and people who do it should feel bad :hateit:

FF8 is good.

I like Bioshock 2 over Bioshock 1. Playing as a Big Daddy was fucking cool.

I find all 3D Zeldas to be infinitely inferior to nearly all of their top down ones. And Majora's Mask >>>>>>> Shitarina of Time. ;O;

Mine has to be Chrono Cross. I always see a lot of backlash about the game and how it was nothing like Chrono Trigger.

It's pretty pointless to me to compare the two games, as they're completely different experiences and each have their own beauty. Well, at least to me.

Chrono Cross has to be my favourite game of all time, also being the first game I ever played.

Did i mention i like metroid other M? I think is fun. Metroid prime i never played, why make a First person shooter when is should have stayed a side scrolling platformer?

Also Metroid fusion is hard, you take so much damage from enemies and you have to collect so many health upgrades, probably the most in the whole series. I also dislike the first metroid, thank god zero mission exist.

For me it's the kind of "amour vache" like we say it in french. You love it but you hate it in same time.
It hate it for being incomplete, too much online dependencies, MGO3 being fucked up (I played mgo2 waaaay too much).
But in same time, gameplay kept me entertained, the plot twist with toubib was not that bad, the story was good.

Didn't like The Last of Us. Don't like any GTA games (the prospect of being able to do whatever you want hasn't interested me since I was 12). I have a mixed opinion on Skyrim, and I don't really care for Fallout.

I liked Resident Evil 6, I like Elder Scrolls Online, I like Mighty No.9, Conception II, Senran Kagura, and the Musou games.

I think Fire Emblem: Awakening is a good game (in case you couldn't tell by my profile), and I think that the first part of the game is awesome, but the whole Walhart arc just makes me lose interest in the game.

One of the reasons people like Fire Emblem is because of it's story, and much of this part of the game just seems like filler in order to get the child units up to snuff. In other words, it kind of seems like the whole story was put on hold just to fight this lobster dude, and it just doesn't hold me like the first half does.

I hate Chrono Trigger, but love Chrono Cross.

I know 95% of the world is opposite my opinion, but Cross was just soooooooooo good!
I loved Chrono Trigger, but have never played Chrono Cross. I've actually heard virtually only good things about it, but it was sadly never released in PAL regions.

What was it about Chrono Cross that made you like it compared to Chrono Trigger, and would you recommend it to someone like me despite having very much enjoyed Chrono Trigger?

If you liked Trigger, then you might like Cross. It's a direct sequel with new characters, and the old characters make cameos too! I loved how long and difficult the game was, as well as it's brilliand musical scores that have a very heavy celtic vibe and influence to it, and the theme and colors are very widly-varied and vibrant. I suggest playing it on a PSP or whatever you have that plays PS1 games, it's an amazing experience you'll not forget.

Sounds good to me, I'll be sure to check it out. It's a shame that us in Europe/Australia missed out on so many good PS1 games.
