Gaming Fixing DS/Lite freezes in settings/PictoChat/DS Download mode

Okay, this happend me with my Zelda DS Lite, have v5 fimware, but im not sure why this happend, you have 3 methods:

1.- Blow DS Slot or GBA Slot
I fixed my Zelda DS Lite doing this, i don't know why is the reason.

2.-Open it and clean with Alcohol the motherboard/ DS Slot /GBA Slot

3.- Re-solder DS Slot or GBA Slot


Why is the reason because freezes?
i don't know, but method 1 fixed my DS Lite from this.

And that's all ._.

also question have you ever flashed a custom firmware to the ds?

Nope, i never used Custom Fimware in my DSes
but wireless card how can damage? ._____.
i mean... i don't opened my ds lite because always freezes in settings or DS download mode or PictoChat...! i just blow it in the GBA slot and worked like new.
Also, removing the battery when this is happening won't work.

it can either be that the wifi card is having issues (these things are old remember) or that theres a short, id reccomend first opening up the system and cleaning it out (if youre brave enough) then trying again.

do you have any games you can test with wifi / multiplayer (such as mario kart ds) try booting into it, if it freezes its a problem with the wifi card, otherwise its something else

and what did you clean it with a moist cloth and anti-static pc stuff? also fun-fact blowing on cartridges and cleaning them doesnt actually fix the circuitry but may temporarly bridge the circuit depending on the liquid (such as spit in a cartridge from blowing)

Ummm, i can't because i fixed the problem :L
I cleaned all motherboard with Alcohol, soldered new GBA slot and NDS Slot, also, L R buttons and new MIC (i never used that lol)
But i cleaned the motherboard (after alcohol) and no problems .-.

interesting, so likely it was just a short causing it ten, thats good to know. also, wow so many consoles @-@
