Yes. I've tried loads of portable HD's and none work without a power supply. Also anyone know if a Y Cable will work on the front 2 ports as well? Cuz I'd like to have an HD plugged into the back for Wiiu games and a Y Cable infront for vWii. And what's the name again of that app that'll let ya have 2 USB's plugged in and not be forced to manage?

think it's ustealth: https://gbatemp.net/threads/ustealth-wii-u-format-disk-nag-workaround.352786/ I'm using a toggle switch with mine though. I'm also using cfg usb loader.

can i delete the original HBC forwarder if i install a 16:9 one? or should i keep the original
If you installed a full channel, you don't need a forwarder nor even the "original" one.

You should install one of these:
- Channel with bug
- forwarder to fix the bug + channel with bug
- Channel with fix

no need to have
- Channel with bug + channel with fix
- Forwarder to fix the bug + channel with fix
- forwarder to fix the bug + channel with bug + channel with fix

But I'd recommend to keep the "channel with bug" as some old homebrew are still loading its titleID and has not been updated to return/reload the fixed Homebrew Channel's titleID.
if you delete the old channel, some homebrew will exit to system menu instead of homebrew channel.

so you can keep this, for compatibility with homebrew :
- Channel with bug + channel with fix

by original one i mean the hbc channel (not forwarder im assuming) that was installed when i hacked the vwii..the one with the 4:3 bug.. I still have that one on my menu but i also installed a red HBC forwarder that doesnt have the 16:9 bug. So by the sounds of what your saying i shouldnt delete the original channel. How do i install the channel with the fix?

you should delete the forwarder (the red one) and keep the original channel (the blue with the bug) for homebrew compatibility.

You can install the new channel with the 16:9 bug fixed using a wad manager.
You will have 2 homebrew channel installed and no more forwarders.
Move the channel with the bug to the end of your system menu so you don't mix them.
the channel with the bug could still be used to "return to hbc" by old homebrew. Currently, USBLoaderGX is hardcoded to load that channel's titleID instead of returning to the "last used HBC".
I'll fix that in a future update to add support for OHBC titleID.

Toggle switch is a homebrew to switch (or toggle) the partition signature ON/OFF.
with a good partition signature, you can use the drive on your computer to add games, manage its content, etc. but the wiiU prompts to format your drive!
with a hidden partition signature, you can't use the drive on computer, but the WiiU will not ask you to format it so you don't risk loosing your data (instead, the computer will ask you to format it! haha. Be careful when plugging it to computer in hidden state)

in both states, the (v)Wii homebrew are always seeing the drive, with a good or bad signature, so you can use it in hidden state on the WiiU and when you need to use it on your computer you launch "Toggle switch" on your console to make it visible on all devices.
after adding games, put it back to (v)Wii and toggle the Signature back to hide the drive from the WiiU.

Depends. Who's forwarder did you install? The open 16:9 Homebrew Launcher replaces the old Homebrew Launcher, any forwarders need the original Homebrew Launcher to load.

Nope. Just a forwarder. Includes the 16:9 fix, but don't delete the old one.
ok so basically my question is, is there any way to only have one HBC on my vwii home menu that includes the 16:9 fix? i dont want two on my menu.

to make a long story short lol

I need the same. I want to replace the forwarder with the official open source HBC with the 16:9 fix. So the original one in bootmii cannot be replaced right?

I've made a mistake: I forgot to remove all USBs from Wii U before the procedure even knowing about it :(
I am running GC games from SD with Nintendont but I have to use CFG USB Loader to load Wii Games from SD, WiiFlow crashes on the startup and I have to power off the Wii U by cutting the energy supply.
Is there a way to recover the USB lost on the process to be able loading Wii and GC games from the USB or fix WiiFlow to bypass the "crash point" on startup?
