Loadiine doesn't require internet.
exploiting the kernel to Launching homebrew required internet connection because the vulnerability is on the browser application. from the browserhax method, you can launch any homebrew (homebrew launcher, loadiine, etc.)

now, we have another "entry point" to execute homebrew : Contenthax.
contenthax is exploiting a vulnerability in the "content" folder of NDS Virtual console games.
Haxchi was released based on that exploit. you only need internet to run haxchi installer : it's a homebrew, so browser -> homebrew -> haxchi installer
once you have haxchi installed, you don't need internet anymore as you use haxchi as exploitable entry point for kernel execution : haxchi -> homebrew

Can i install another NORMAL haxchi?

Yes, but it's not recommended. Lot of users bricked because they didn't understood what they were doing.
do NOT use the same NDS virtual console game you used to install CBHC.
do NOT use WUP installer to install the second NDS Virtual console, download an official channel from eShop.
when installing haxchi, do not MIX the NDS titleID to replace, be sure you install second haxchi in second NDS game.
then, you should be fine.

do you REALLY need CBHC to patch signature at boot? not ALL game require signature patch or region free.
I suppose you want the second haxchi to launch HBL instead of installing HBL channel?
you could use CBHC to boot homebrew launcher, (run the "do not touch me" channel, it's CBHC, no need to reboot the console)

system menu > do not touch > homebrew launcher
having a menu displayed on screen is too much time wasted?
I guess it is, that's why users prefer using auto patch instead of clicking haxchi channel to do it manually.

I really don't understand why it's so hard to just run a channel manually, still you want to install a new channel to launch it manually.

I have brain age for cbhc & yoshi island for haxchi with lots of shortcuts added to the config, Both purchased from eshop. I have used utikdownloaderhelper to download mario kart ds & used it to install haxchi to it so that I could make a custom loadiine channel & it worked just file in sig patched sysnand.

Just remember, Only use purchased DS title's to launch CBHC, Otherwise you'll end up with a brick. I only wanted to test this for the lulz, But since haxchi has a config file which can boot to multiple different app's, I ended up deleting it & used my original 2 DS title's for cbhc & haxchi.

If you have CBHC, you replaced Haxchi.

A: It's an updated Haxchi, compatible with coldboot option. It will REPLACE the normal version of haxchi. You can't have both at the same time.

Yes, as BIFFTAZ implied:

You can do it as long as you understand that you could only run haxchi if you allowed CBHC to do sigpatching during that session's boot-up. Also, you can't run anything from Haxchi that would conflict with CBHC's active patches.

If you use a legit game for the second install, you can skip CBHC's autobooting and know that the program that you run from the second install is running against a system that isn't already patched. Whether that matters depends on what you choose to run from haxchi.

Either way, keep in mind that it's recommended to only have one cbhc/haxchi title so that you and any utilities you might run won't get confused.

question? If I purchases the required game with my online NNID user... and make a second offline user. Can the user with the NNID be removed from the console and still have a working hack?

if you do that, does the officially bought eShop titles stop working?
if the title stop working, it will also make CBHC stop working.

CBHC is a replacement of the "rom.zip" inside an eShop title, if the eshop NDS game can't boot, then CBHC won't even be loaded.

I can't diagnose your problem but CBHC will not fix the issue. As the dev states, do not install CBHC unless Haxchi is working perfectly. Probably will help to post more specific information on the error you are getting.

This is normal behavior.

If you run Haxchi and let it default to starting Homebrew Launcher, then you run Wupinstaller from there, you haven't run any signature patching. You have to either run a signature patcher/CFW from Haxchi (Haxchi's own is usually button B) or from Homebrew Launcher.

So what you want to do in a default configuration, is run Haxchi, press B, wait for the WiiU menu to come back up, run Haxchi again to get Homebrew Launcher, then run Wupinstaller from there.

To be sigpatched, you'd have to run Haxchi/press B at each boot-up, or install CBHC.

You could do that (run HBL from browser), but if you haven't installed Haxchi first and tested that, how would you be sure that you have a working title?

I have a working title and Haxchi installation is fine. I said that because of this:

Thanks for explaing it. Makes sense. I ended up finding a post saying to hold B when booting haxchi, but it didn't explain how it reset to the Wii menu again. (Thought it wasn't working right)

Is there a negative to running sig patched? Wonder why haxchi doesn't load up this way by default everytime, especially if u need to be sig patched to install eshop+dlc.
