Yeah I know about the screen differences, but I've heard that some people experienced problems with the OLED screen when using homebrew or something.

The 1000 model OLED screens are sometimes prone to screen ghosting. I'm not exactly sure how often it happens in Vitas, but I know that my old PCH-1000 model used to have it. (You'll know if there are ghosting effects in your OLED Vita's screen by looking for any dark spots and patches.)

So I'm thinking about getting the Vita Slim. My question is : can I use the internal memory to install .VPK games or Mai games like the memory card ? And also I'm planning to buy it in a pack which comes with 4 voucher codes to get 4 games, can I use them even with henkaku ?

I like the original because of the screen and better build quality, but the slim is lighter and is supposed to have an extra hour of battery life.

The slim comes with 1gb of storage, but I wouldn't count it as a plus since it's unusable if you have a card.

Of course; the internal memory card acts exactly like a normal memory card.
Regarding the vouchers though, you wouldn't be able to redeem them straight from the Vita since PSN spoofing on 3.60 was abolished a month ago.

I see. So I have two choices :
1- Old PS Vita pack which comes with Invizimals and a 4gb memory card that costs 141 EUR.
2- PS Vita Slim with 8gb memory card with 4 voucher codes that costs 164.50 EUR.

What do you suggest me to get? I have only these choices as they are the only one available that I can afford.

The only problem is the internal memory is very small compared to the memory cards, but it works like normal memory card and you can't use both. If you use memory card, can't use internal storage. But if you eject it, you can use internal memory.

I have a psvita tv and i bought the bundle that came with a ps3 dualshock3 controller and 8GB Memory card. But i use it for henkaku, i just eject the card and turn it on, install homerew and adrenaline for emulators and stuff. Then use the memory card for actual games and other stuff. The small 1GB internal storage is okay for emulations, but not downloading PSP or PSvita games cause they are sometimes large in file size that you can't fit many on there or that you can fit some but can't update cause not enough room.

Is recommended you buy a memory card as soon as possibble for full vita games or just stick to buying retail carts to save space on them. I never bought a retail cart cause the playstation store sales are godlike in high discounts and no tax, and gets better with playstation plus discounts, free games every month and discount codes. :P

I suggest getting the OLED if you don't care about Remote Play as oversaturated PS4 games may not look that good. If RP is important to you, get the Slim.

I'm planning to use henkaku and install games on it, so I can't decide which one is better to get. Those memory cards are quite pricy :(

I have a slim. I know how ppl says OLED are more beautiful but I think LCD screen on the slim is good enough. And I like how it's much lighter as well as its battery lasts longer.

8GB is really small tbh. I found an 16GB used one on ebay for around 30 Eur here in Germany.

I would get the one with the bigger memory card, those are expensive and if the deal is good, you should consider it. The screen isn't the important issue, so what if LED or LCD are different, each as good and bad to them. Is important if you can see the game and play it nornally.

Unless you have problems seeing, maybe visit a eye doctor, cause is the only way i'll consider that it makes a difference with the led and lcd, is just like the threads with IPS or TN 3DS screens, Perhpaps one looks better than the other, but is just opinions. Is not effecting your ability to play. Is just my opinion so don't be upset.

With the slim you have 8GB memory card and internal storage, is more flexible like i described. ;)

Tbh I don't care much about the screen, more than the memory card. I'm planning to use henkaku to get games on it, though I don't think a 4gb memory card would fit at least 2 games. I guess I should get the new Vita with 8gb card, but those 4 voucher codes are such a waste :(

My Slim is brighter than my OLED.
It isn't brighter. OLED has more true black and white hence why it looks darker sometimes.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Lots of people says that it's too bright and bad for the eyes when playing at night. And it's about 25% heavier than the slim, which is a big issue for handhelds.
It isn't as heavy as those people with Slims are saying. They like to exaggerate about stuff because they want to defend their own product.
