Well, in the past, we have used the official pokemon VGC ruleset.

* you can even download this seasons rules on SuMo *

More or less a double flat battle (sets both teams to level 50, during the battle)

Though, we would have to make a separate thread to keep up with the tournament entrants.

So, this:

Battle Format:

* You can change your team this tournament.

* While inviting opponent: Double, Flat Rules

* Best of 1 For All Rounds

* Best of 3 For Semi-Finals and Finals

Rules:

Each Pokémon may hold an item, though no two Pokémon may hold the same item.

Players must avoid the use of potentially inappropriate, obscene, or otherwise offensive words or phrases when naming their Trainer or their Pokémon.

Pokémon may not hold a Mega Stone.

A player’s team cannot contain two Pokémon with the same Alola Pokédex number.

Pokémon may only use moves that have been learned through normal gameplay or from an official Pokémon event or promotion.

Pokémon may have Hidden Abilities. o Pokémon may use Z-Moves.

Pokémon must have the black clover on their summary screen.

Pokémon Level 50 during battle.

Players may use Pokémon from the Alola Pokédex, from No. 001–204, No. 206 – 288 and No. 293 – 299.

I was able to DL the rule sets, but could not apply them (battle spot)...I figured it was something 'PGL'-related. I'll try to activate that (PGL), but I have a feeling most would rather not. I haven't been able to successfully link battle anyone, so I'm not sure what options are available.

As for organizing, I should be able to give it bones and flesh, although I need to find out if the DL'd rules are applicable in link battles.

Next time you're about to go on your 3ds, let me know so I can get some details as to how the battle system works.

Just curious, anyone here wants to partcipate in a battle royale or a wifi battle, I'm cool with it anytime as long we can schedule it. I'm a Poketuber so I have to pump out some battles once in a while. Let me add everyone's FC here and if you guys don't mind doing the same, we can have some fun.

Yeah, once the rules are downloaded, you can select what rules to apply in the festival plaza.

Though making people a "VIP" speeds up the process of finding them online.

Also, you are welcome to make a separate thread about the tournament.
