Wow, I'm a bit late to the game, but if you need any help with the images, let me know. I'm a graphic designer by trade and don't mind editing some of the screens as needed. I did quite a few of the menus for the Namco x Capcom fan translation for the PS2, as well. Either way, best of luck with the project and I can't wait to try it out!
We've got a few people working on things still, but we've still got I think just over 50 images that need to be done. Our graphics folks are fantastic and complete magic workers, but their availability seems to come in waves that often overlap, meaning that we'll have lots of stuff completed in a few days, and then nothing for a month or two - rinse and repeat.
We *should* be able to finish the work with our current team, but if people start running out of steam I'll totally take you up on that offer.
Oh, is there any interest in translating the book that comes with the Japanese copy?
For the long answer, read these detailed posts:

For the TL;DR: I am super (read: literally months) behind on my manga scanlations and I am going to take some time to catch up on that (and life, haha!) before even thinking about the book. We will need some very specialized talents for that, so I'll drop you a line if/when we decide to start working on it.
One example of really tricky work is going to be the chapter title pages, as that is used in one of the awesome end-game riddles but the riddles require the Astram character set that is totally different in English vs. Japanese (assuming we want a riddle answer that makes sense, instead of just gobbledygook).
Also, there are some fun Astram characters written on in-game backgrounds that decode to something that makes sense in the Japanese text, but will mean nothing in English unless we go in and edit the backgrounds, which to me (as a not-graphic-anything-er) sounds completely impossible, so... anyway, that is getting way way ahead of ourselves. First we need to wrap up the 1st pass translation of the main game text, then do some editing and term consistency checking especially for names that changed during the translation process, and *then* we need to playtest the everloving crap out of the game to make sure we didn't miss a breaking image or a bit of text that runs off the screen. Once all of that is done, we can release the patch that will work *without* needing the DS book - ie everything necessary can be found in the English PS3 book (spell runes and Imagen names and stuff like that).
Even still, even after listing all of that tedious remaining work, I just really feel fantastic about how this is all coming together. I'm behind on where I wanted to be, given the goals I set this time last year, but... still, pretty nuts where we are (proper stats update on Monday).
Thanks for all of your awesome support, folks! Your patience and gentle encouragement and insatiable curiosity really make this all feel worthwhile!
