At the wii dayone i buyed a third party Atomic RGB cable that worked great. An year after i buyed an HDTV and i decided to buy a component cable that i pays something like 15 €.
The problem is that i think that the cable isn't shielded and then it has a lot of interferences with the image that has something like "shadows" near the borders (i don't know how to desceibe it properly in english) with the result that is better to use the RGB that ha a more clean image even in 480i instead of the component with 480p.

Now i'm tored of this and i wanna buy a good replacemente cable but i have some concerns:
I don't wanna spend too much on my old Wii and Nintendo original component cables are overpriced. I could buy another third party compinent hoping that has the same production cable of the RBG but if it's not, i will waste again my money.
I was thinking about a Wii2hdmi: i pretty sure that even if i will lose a little bit with the signal conversion it will be much better than RGB (because pf the 480i) and better than the shitty component cable that i have right now.

What are your suggestions?

Because of the signal conversion involved, the Wii2HDMI converter will likely yield a picture quality comparable to the composite cables. Personally, I wouldn't touch an HDMI converter with a 10-foot pole unless HDMI was absolutely my only option.

Instead, I recommend you buy a good set of component cables. Alternatively, when I had the same problem as you, I had some good luck wrapping the component cable ports in kitchen foil. It sounds weird, but there were times when it eliminated the interference completely and permanently. Results will vary.

Good luck.

Comparable to composite? I'm reading a lot of reviews like this and it doesn't seem so bad

The signal conversion does result in a decrease in quality that is inferior to component cables. Some people will say it is still better than composite cables, but I've personally done numerous tests, and with various HDMI converters. I cannot tell the difference between the HDMI converters and composite cables, but I can absolutely tell the difference between HDMI converters and component cables. Results may vary.

I will try with the kitchen foil. Ahould i have to wrap the entire cable or only the plugs? (You talked about "ports")

I wrapped both the individual plugs and then the whole thing after it is already plugged in to the TV. Keep in mind that some people have no success with this method. Good luck.

I was thinking about this:
Is ebay less expensive for you?

A HDMI cable for the Wii2HDMI can be bought cheaply. (1 metre, 2 metres, 3 metres...)
The audio cable can be bought cheaply too. (3.5mm stereo minijack to 2xRCA).

Your amazon link seems expensive.

@foob maybe i' m a lucky man. Since you and other guys suggested wii2hdmi only to people without component connections on the tv due to the signal conversion between anlogue to Digital i've started to search original component cables on eBay.
The price were very High: as u Can see in the attached photos, for a used one same price (more or less) of a brand new in 2009 (27,41 €) or 13 euros more (39,90 €), depending from the eBay user.
Them i was attracted from one brand new selled for 5 euros, but the image was not Real but taken from the internet, the reselled ensured me that the cable was original and the same from the photos.
I thought that i Can took the risk because it costs only 5, finally today the cable isnarrived, is original and works flawlessly.
Good for me but it hinknthat the seller didn't understand is value, because cheap, shitty and non original cables are selled for the same price :)
What do you think?
