Regarding the Pokemon Black 2/White 2 saving issues, I think I found something. After looking around, I found that people using the original DSTT kernel (the kernel YSMenu is based off of) found that they had issues with saving even after the AP patches. Apparently, saving only worked if the SD card they were running off of was a class 4 or higher (meaning it has a minimum write speed of 4 MB/s.) I was thinking, since @retrogamefan already fixed the AP issues with these games, is it possible that it is the speed of our Micro SD cards that are prohibiting us from saving? Can anyone confirm if saving works on a Class 4 or higher Micro SD?

Saving works on Class 10, FAT32 format

You need this sd format: download
Special format r4 (or any ds hack card) formatter
That is actually the same formatting tool I originally used XD, but I reformatted anyways. Even though I had to reformat using fat32 formatter due to SDFormatter formatting to exFAT (which doesn't work.) I then used MiniTool Partition Wizard to use it's size adjustment feature (bigger cache.) I'll report later...
Edit: Saved twice, then it crashed on the third time...

I didn't know that.... I guess I should give SD formatter a second chance then.... Even though, since I'm since I'm using a SDXC micro SD, it keeps formatting in exFAT. So I'll have to use fat32formatter afterwards... Thank you for telling me about MiniTool though, I didn't make the connection XD

Are you using the .hk cart though?
No, mine's from r4isdhc.com
I'm not really sure it would be that much of a difference though. The HK one is a clone of the r4isdhc.com card, and the r4isdhc.com card is a clone of the card from r4i-sdhc.com. Then that card is a DSTT clone... So shouldn't they all work similar?

The .hk Dual-Cores run a wood-based menu iirc, people were bricking them when they tried using YSmenu for 3DS forwarders.

This kernel, besides not working with my flashcart, actually bricked it. Everytime I tried using it.

I have an R4i Ultra (r4ultra.com), which is an Acekard 2i clone. The best kernel it currently has is the AKAIO 1.8.6a one. It has some compatibility issues and the developer @Normmatt simply puts some code to make it incompatible with clones (which I question why since it doesn't even work with the latest DSi firmware anymore, there isn't even an acekard website anymore, we just achieved .nds loading on the 3DS without a flashcart, and I highly doubt they produce the Acekard 2i or its clones anymore).

So, I came across this thread hoping that I would improve my flashcart's compatibility and installed the matching kernel for my flashcart.
I tried running Pokémon Black 2 to test the AP patch, with no luck. It even made the game run way slower than with AKAIO!

To my suprise, after I rebooted the DS, the flashcart was bricked. No "Nintendo" logo on the DS splash screen. Black icon on a CFW 3DS. It was dead.

Luckily, I had a second DS, so I just used the ak2i bootloader updater to unbrick the cart, so it's working fine again.

I tried running another ROM using the thiread's kernel, and it bricked again, so I just gave up. Unless @Normmatt decides to make a new AKAIO version for this clone (which, mind you, was made by the ACEKARD team), I'm stuck with the older version with limited compatibility.
