uae4all is an Amiga 500/1200 emulator ported to the ps vita. There's still some work to do on this port like keyboard support and better resolution handling, i hope some people will be able to help on this as i do not have a lot of time. But i think this is a good base/start !

Installation:
- install vpk
- put disks (adf) in "ux0:/data/uae4all/roms"
- put kickstart roms (kick13.rom, kick31.rom) in "ux0:/data/uae4all/kickstarts/"

Usage:
- cross : button 1
- square : button 2
- triangle : button 3
- circle : button 4
- select : return to menu
- start : change input mode (joystick, mouse, custom) / return to emulation when in menu
- R : reset (run emulator)
- L + R + UP / DOWN : move screen up/down

Thanks:
consolex-bordeaux.fr for the support !
ScHlAuChi for the help/advices/testing !

  • enable fself compression
  • center screen vertically
  • 2* scaling for exact pixel sizes (no more wobble) (rsn8887)
  • better file attributes for HD Dirs so they work on Amiga side (rsn8887)

Woohoo. Certainly enjoyed the Amiga and know how it's a notoriously difficult machine to emulate due to its custom chips so looking forward to giving this one a spin.

Many thanks for porting this across, it's appreciated :toot:

Brilliant! Thanks for this, I can't get enough of SWOS! Do you know if this is better than the psp amiga emu which runs on Adrenaline? You rule dude!

Seems better to me! I ran Ruff 'n Tumble last night... it's very smooth, with no frame skipping needed. Games that didn't work on the PSP game do work here.

Anyway, thank you Easter Bunny- er, Cpasjuste, for this unexpected treat.

Wow I have some great memories from the Amiga500 with games like Settlers and Worms, I'll be sure to give this a look, thanks for the effort in bringing it to the Vita!

You should have entered it for the gekiHEN competition. Good work though.

Edit - I just checked, it's already an entry :D

Have you tried SWOS on this?

Damn after a bit of messing about getting the workbench files in the right order (and renamed correctly) I was blown away, taken me back 20+ years with this, praise the maker!

Does anybody know the correct resolution to set to avoid games overscanning off the bottom of the screen? The vast majority of Amiga games are PAL, which aren't really well suited to the Vita screen. Cannon Fodder cropsa the bottom of the screen quite badly.

Just been using the control of holding L+R and using up or down to see the extra parts of the screen, I've not found a way to just fill the screen with the emu, I'm guessing since there is controls to pan around what we see the creator hasn't fixed this issue yet.

Couldn't tell you; not a soccer fan, sensible or otherwise.

Right now I'm trying to find a way to put the larger games in HDF files, so I don't have to constantly swap discs. It's not going so well. =(

If you have figured a way to compact games down into a more manageable (fun) size lol give me a poke please, Looking at the daunting task of Simon the Sorcerer on 9 Floppy discs reminds me of why floppys were not a great way to have huge games lol.
