Lego City Undercover getting port to Switch and other platforms

Cx4APy0XcAA7v2Z.jpg

The previous Wii U exclusive game, Lego City Undercover will be getting a port to Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, and interestingly, the Nintendo Switch. The company states that more information on the release will be coming soon in the next few months. It's currently being called a "re-release", but it is unknown if this will be a simple port, or a "definitive" version.

I wonder if they'll improve theloading times. _All_ lego games have ass loading times which makes zero goddamn sense but lego city games were byfar the worst.

I think they should include the 3DS content in the remaster.

That would probably be alot to ask for since they would really need to rework the entire game but I hope they do since they will be able improve it alot.

I agree but I guess it might have been because the WIIU did not have the power to handle loading it. Anyway LCU - Loading Issues is probable my GOAT game.

This is the best LEGO game I ever played, period.

Not as the other LEGO games, this feels different, all original content ( Not movie based etc. ) the script is just TOP notch.
One of the few games I played with 100% completion.
Teh Wiiu gamepad is very good implemented in this one. I wonder how they will port it to other platforms.
Logical Wii u exclusive alone for that, on top of all this game has a Nintendo feel.
Also the biggest Lego game to date I think, Size wise ~19 GB.

The WiiU has very fast loading times, It is an underrated console VS Xbox360 and PS3, alot more powerfull.
The loading time is due to developer trying something new and fainling in this departement.
( really long loading time for the title menu and then another one for the game?, then every time you go the the 2nd hub, the police station, grrrr)
Once in game the hub world does not have loading time aside missions chapters.
A very very interactive game this is, all is FUN.
Steering vehicles is like REAL LEGO cars, direct, instant not like a driving game at all. In my opinion, not very good but the controls will grow on you.

Oh yeah definitely it does. I said in KYG that sometimes they do feel a bit off only for large trucks but overall it controls very well.

These Lego games can run on potato computers. I was mad when the Lego Move videogame wasn't made for the regular Wii, when it was still receiving regular shovelware until 2015.

The developers said the code was prepared for DLC, maybe the hinted DLC will finally be released.

That was a prequel and it did suck. This is a full on port.

It was very flawed but I had fun with it.

I think they should include the 3DS content in the remaster.

Not sure if easy to do, but this would be awesome, would solve most of its flaws that were result of a cut down in processing to 'fit' in the 3DS (map division, depopulation, etc.)

Christ, yes, hope so. In the PC should be better at least, since you have to install the game and load it from disk, istead of loading the game from an optical drive.

Games on PS4/XO kind of render buying the discs somewhat pointless since it's required to install all of it on the HDD. Least you can always play it on any PS4/XO than being stuck to a digital account.

Why is it so interesting? The Switch is a gaming console. If it gets ports to the other ones, why not port to Switch as well?
This is the first non-indie third party western game to be confirmed for the Switch, besides Just Dance. AAA-devs are still being pretty tight lipped about their plans for the Switch. We still don't have confirmation for Skyrim from Bethesda, nor that NBA title, even though they appeared in the system's trailer. Therefore I think it's a bit interesting that WB announced this without any reservations.
