Well, while I'm still hyped, I'm still on the reality side of things, so let us put aside some things first, for those who don't know, the Pexploit was a method used by uploader Kakaroto who submitted a piece of work capable of injecting PSN games to the PS3, while this may sound cool, remember that these titles were locked to those who had an idps or a key capable of being extracted.
This was a huge letdown, as not only you were incapable of using disc based games on your PS3, you were also incapable of playing CFW locked down PSN games, and to add further salt to the matter, injecting a game was extremely hard because the chances that you could inject the correct game were in the lower percentages, let alone installing multiple games on one hardrive, I could tell because I used to have Pexploit and a modified PSNStuff to inject games on my PS3.
But this method is different, it seems that you can actually use a normal Iso of any PS3 game, whereas you need an specific piece of information extracted from the iso, you alter it and then you inject it to the console, now, I cannot say for the matter if someone is actually capable of injecting multiple backups, restoring a console means that you lose all the data you previously had on your PS3 (savedata, psn demos, etc.) and instead, you receive the contents you injected on your backed up PS3.
So essentially, yeah, this is a Pexploit on Steroids, there are differences between the tools used, and the availability of games (which is huuuuuuge in comparison to the limited amount of games pexploit offers) but the method of restoring a modified ps3 backup is the same. The russian site (from what I've seen) was able to report games such as GTA V and The Last of Us working, so obviously, the games couldn't have come from the normal PSN Shop, furthermore, they have special editions such as Mortal Kombat on it, which was not available with the previous methods.
So long story short, this is a tool where you inject backups on your "backed system file ps3", the backups comes from a game disc as the files needed to be altered comes from the disc version, now, does this also works with all the other PSN games as well?, I can't say for sure, those games come in a PKG format, and you do need an iso to prove this tool actually works, so after all of this head butting against the wall, my conclusion is... this is totally legit, this works, the compatibility will depend greatly on the FW you're staying on, as some users reported to play some games on 4.7.x firmware over 4.7.specific x firmware, so for now, before you go ape shit, remember, modern games will need to be updated, so this tool will need to be updated in order to work with newer games that requires an obligatory update for these.
The pay is more worthy in this one, so if you want to give this tool a try, do it, remember that there can be issues when installing a backup restored game, as I experimented with my PS3 all the time with this, for now, I don't have the time nor the resources to try this method, I would prefer if someone could list the amount of users on a specific firmware, to see which one has the best compatibility for general backups, but if you're one of these testers, remember, you won't get it the first time, experiment and experiment, and if you don't see any results, try with other games, remember, this is something new so we have to check what can be done, and what can't be done.
