-Updated: December 24 2021-
This is a project to manage the translation of Luminous Arc 3: Eyes. It is a tactical RPG, that is similar to Stella Glow on the 3ds. The graphics and battle animations had been mostly translated, but the story wasn't translated.

After switching between quite a few methods of tracking the files, everything has been migrated to github.
Thanks to plasturion, we now have a set of tools that can export the scripts, and import the scripts back into the game with minimal issue.

The tools are located here: LA3-Tools.

TRANSLATION RELEASED!
A huge thanks to LuminousCat and everyone else who made this translation possible, and finally getting it done after all these years.

The tool for patching can be downloaded from here: https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/704/
CRC-32 of the original Japanese rom: 848822fd
CRC-32 of the successfully patched English rom: caec12b5

Due to a lack of time on my part, the lack of progress over time of the human translation, and the fact that LuminousCat has finished their translation, I will be shutting down the channels for the manual translation. I have attached the current progress of the manual translated scripts to this post if anyone wants to reference them in the future.

There are a few more scripts that have been translated. Progress is slow, but steady. I think I have 11/249 scripts or something like that. If anyone else is willing to translate, that would be appreciated.

Any chance of simply posting the script online if repacking isn't likely to work out? Any sort of English reference on this game would be great since there's no English translated script at all online.

I'll post the script if the translator stop translating or when he finishes. If you want access to the google group I use for it, send me a pm with your email.

I can't seem to figure out to send private messages, probably because I'm a newcomer. Is there any other way I could contact you?

I'm sorry if this is a rude thing to ask but, can the translator released the script for the game on gamefaqs or Google docs or any other site, perhaps? I can figure the game mechanics myself, but I need to know the story so bad. Even if the grammar is not good is fine, because currently I played with Google translate and translate every dialogue with post pictures system of Google and this only make me even more confused because of machine translation.

Gamefaqs is full of trolls. Don't even bother about that.

Would starting a kick-starter for a translation help? I wouldn't mind paying for the translation if there was an actually project and a team built up to work on it.

There are a few issues with starting a kickstarter for it.
1) There probably isn't enough support for the game
2) Because it is another company's IP, you cannot sell a translation patch without getting into serious trouble.

A possible way around this would to be find another translator, and donate for the work the translator is doing, but without buying the patch.

If you want to get a project team together, go for it, and contact me with the details.
