Wireless charge + Bluetooth Mod Guide N3Ds XL in 4K

Hello, i've made a long video about how i did the wireless charge + bluetooth mod.
The bluetooth part is only referencial and not 100% a tutorial.
but i linked the forum post in the description on how to do it and what you need.
But the video shows still a big part of it, only the wiring is not 100% detailed in the video, but from 5:45 on you get the complete wireless charge tutorial.
You can still watch the whole video to get more input =)
i did a shell swap that's why i was able to "build" in my mods again so i could film them =)
+ also swapped out my analog stick for a majora's mask analog stick =)

Here's the youtube Tutorial!:

pictures of the mods + the wiring + some of the headphone jack (forgot those in the video)

and here are some pictures of what i ended up with =):

I'm quite interested in your wireless charging mod. I have 3 wireless Qi chargers in my house for my smartphones but most of the time only one is being used. Personally I want to find a way to convert this Qi Wireless charging receiver but I dont really want to do any heavy modifications. @Dennis G Do you think it would be simple enough to convert micro-usb to the 3DS plug or is cracking open my New 3DS much simpler.

that receiver you have is pretty much the same as i had, if you watch the video, you can see the iphone one, they are all the same, a coil with a little motherboard, if you tear the paper from yours it will be the same too, all you gotta do is solder 2 wires to it and solder those to the power connector on your 3ds, it's pretty easy, if you have 0 experience with soldering, just solder some wires to other wires first, it's reallllyyy easy, and it makes it so much easyer to have it inside the console, rather then having it on the backside, it will get lose and stuff, make the 3ds thinker + not feel as smooth in the hand. soldering a 3ds charge wire to the receiver is the same work then just soldering 2 wires to the console + charger, + if you build it in to the console, you can still use the wired charger port to charge it aswell.

mind posting the model here? ;))

also, is there a guide out there to change the 3ds' lights like how you have there?

there is no need for a guide, it's pretty straight forward, you need to be quite good with a soldering iron, i've done it with mine + my girlfriends N3ds, the n3ds is a real pain, the smd led's are very close to each other + ther is a very tiny contact very close to the led and if you get some tin on that the power board won't work anymore, i had lot's of issues getting the led's swapped, i'd only recommend it if you're really experienced with soldering, + the charger led uses a low power led, i had to get a special 2v smd to get it running again :P, but if you really want to give it a go, i'd buy a second power-board (ther like 20 dollars on ebay/aliexpress) and try it on that one and if you're successful build that one in =), it's not worth it to kill your 3ds for the leds, even though the stock ones are unbelievable ugly :P
here is the position of the led's:

I'm not 100% sure, but i think i used this one:

i'd recommend to think about what you like, image you like smash, google smash bro's silhouette, look though them, since they give you the option you can really get something unique =)

I'm not really good at all with soldering, so I won't even try that LOL
However, when it comes to the circle pad, what model did you use? or did you use a pre existing one, and just added a design to be ingraved into it? I'd probably get an earthbound one, with veeeeery minimal details.

there is only one reason why you're not good with soldering, haven't done it enough yet =) i have very very shaky hands and yet i can solder with them just because i tried it a lot, trust me if you try you'll get there, ofc some stuff will die but that's part of the game =), my first mod was soldering Led's in to triggers of a psp, i was like 14, that was like 10 years ago xD.
For the analog stick: https://www.shapeways.com/product/V...a4d9a6506c222fc2a7d&optionId=58958328&li=cart
but you'll have to disassemble the 3ds to install it, + mine was very wobbly, it did not fit proper, i had to make spacers out of paper, stacked 3 sheets glued them with 3m tape and that way it worked.

thank you so much. also, you're right. I haven't done it AT ALL lol
I tried to fix a link's awakening cartridge with soldering once. Needless to say, I was out of a Link's awakening cart that day..

Oh cool! ^~^
Would you consider doing either of the mods for people for a fee? :P

How much would you wish to charge? I'm in UK :P
i'm figuring that out at the moment, supply would cost me around 32 euros and shipping varies from 9 euro up to 14.65 euros from the netherlands to the uk or most other eu countrys, 9 without shipping and 14.65 is insured up to 500 euros + needs to be signed on arrival. not quite sure what to ask for labor though haha
