Hate to be nitpicky, Mario Maker is more of a tool to make levels than of a "real" game. And Mario Party 10? Questionable choice. At least NSMBU is playable until everything is 100%'d.

I'm glad there's still some life in this thread. :)
Well I don't know why everyone is so pissed about Mario Party 10.
Yes, the Amiibo usage there sucks and I don't like that "We are all in one car" thing that much but it's still the funniest party game alongside Wii Party U when some friends are coming around. The minigames are great and we're always enjoying it. :)

And about Mario Maker being more a tool than a game ... haha ... I'm still playing it a few hours every f*cking week and by "playing" I really mean playing, not making levels.
Sure I built some at the beginning and I do it from time to time.
But the reason why I claimed this to be the most genius Wii U game ever is that I can just come home from work, sit on my couch, launch Super Mario Maker and play so many really unique, cool and creative levels in the style of all Mario 2D games I've ever liked that it's still nothing but fascinating.
Of course ... there are silly levels. There are many, many silly levels. But who cares? I swipe them away and go on. Even if there's 10 silly levels in a row I have to swipe away in order to play one brilliant piece of art or creativity it's really worth it.

Do you own that game? Because your post seems like the reaction of someone who just watched the release trailer. :P

Shovel Knight.

Amazingly awesome game, I've been playing it and I love it. Changing the AR of the TV to 4x3 makes it so nostalgic!

I played it on Wii U first as well and loved it.

But as for now I'm playing Mario Kart 8 online again. It's so much fun with the DLCs. :)
As long as no hacker bums ruin the matches for you it's pretty great still.

I'll vote for the less known games. +1 for:
Yoshi's Wooly World. An underrated platformer and the first game I finished on the Wii U. It's really fun that I just marathoned it from the moment I started playing. And the Co-Op is actually fun
Nintendo Land. A great party game to spend time with friends, but only the "competitive" attractions are fun, but in insane levels
Loz: WW. The first Zelda game I've experienced, and oh boy it was a great game. If you wanna get into the Zelda series, be sure this game is one of your first games
New Super Luigi U. A NSMBU DLC but with a twist, the levels are short and meant to be finished fast
Captain Toad Treasure Tracker. When I played Super Mario 3D World, there were some levels about treasure hunting with Toad. I really liked it and I bought the game, and I'm really happy about buying it

Erm...it's obviously nice that you mention what games you like, but is that a vote for the list?

@LaPingas: nice list there (I just played captain Toad...and it might just be my personal favorite wiiu game :) ). But for the record: these aren't so much 'less known' games as just undervoted for. For example, I've seen threads with dozens of people praising shovel knights. But hardly anyone voted for it in this thread. :P

Those games are pretty well known. Starting off with "less known games" I'd have assumed you would list eShop titles or regional retail exclusives.

I thought I already mentioned it earlier for the list in this thread? If not: Yes, you can definitely +1 it from me. ;)

+ Watch Dogs (admittedly it's the worst console port)

Bought it again recently and played the Spider Tank, I'd dare to say that the game is well worth alone for the Spider Tank mini-game. It does eventually become repetitive with the tasks it gives but it's still so much fun!
