With this changes, the player either crashes entirely with a core dump or it gives you a red screen, whenever an affected wave file is played.
So is this in the latest release? For now I get a crash or the red screen with a crash with every game I tried right after the title screen.

Try to zip the folder, give the zip file a ascii conform name and transfer the zip. VitaShell can be used for unziping.

Yes, it still isn't fixed. For now use build #12.
It was more a "didn't know it was actually commited to a build".

Soundfont support would be great since I realized that even on the PC version midi files seem to sound worse than with the original exe.

Do you talk about Player.exe on Windows compared to RPG_RT?
Yes compared to the RPG_RT.exe with player.exe. I used both without a midi driver that supports soundfonds. I had the win 10 default one.
Yeah games go past the title screen again now.

Impossible. Player.exe on Windows uses the Windows MIDI system, same as RPG_RT.
Ok tried it again. Launched both at the same time and muted one and then the other in windows sound mixer. I think the reason may have been that player.exe is louder by default and that brought out the nastier sounds more. So soundfont support would be great for Vita and other devices but I really don't know if that is just extremely complicated.

3DS definitely won't be capable of handling them for sure, it's really incredible how much 3DS hardware sucks, trust me :P

Yes, the red error screen and complete crash are gone now.

Good to hear, compared to the older working version (so build #12), wav files should load faster and wav sounds should have a bit less stuttering when spammed.

Actually soundfonts need less CPU time then what we currently use. FmMidi (what we currently use) is a Midi synthesizer, it generates the sounds on the fly which is slow but fast enough for any modern CPU (all except 3DS) and is very small compared to soundfonts (300 kbyte).

Though there are currently no plans to support fluidsynth because it has awful library dependencies and is hard to compile. We will probably ship WildMidi in a few weeks/months at least for the 3DS. It uses "GUS patches", so not soundfonts and is quite CPU friendly but needs around ~15 MB of extra files that you place somewhere.

And for our most active Vita-Player users I have a new test again... When this works the PS Vita port is perfect ;)

@Mastak Tested it. the RPG maker itself crashed 3 times, while trying to boot the game, but after successfully starting the game - I talked with all those NPCs several times, without crashing.

I also tested Vampires Dawn with your build, in hope it would run fine now, but sadly, all I got was a core crash after a few seconds. c:

Pro: The game runs almost with 50~60 fps, even the sound got a bit better.
Cons: While running, you hear a tapping sound & after it starts to rain ingame, the fps goes down, the sound gets worse and the game crashes.

The se-crash project is running fine. I didn't get any crashes while booting the project, like Zephir1991 did.

I tested a few games this time and all of them would sooner or later fully crash. I don't know what's causing those crashes, but they always happen at the same spots, so apparently they are not random.

One easy to reproduce spot is at the beginning of VD2. When you don't skip the intro at the beginning, you see a bat flying past the Dawnatic logo. Once it reaches the edge of the screen, the player will crash.

Other things I noticed during testing:
Sunset over Imdahl: Very poor performance. Often only runs at 10fps. Max fps are 40.
Aurora Wing: Broken. At the beginning you stand at the edge of a field and nothing happens until you hit the circle button. Then you are suddenly in a forest. You get some dialogue and then an SRPG battle starts. The enemy turn works fine, but once it's you turn, you can't do anything.

No improvements. Se-crash test is still running fine, the other games crash at the same parts.

The SE crash test crashes for me after the 10 SE guy with eveyone after that.

EDIT wait I'm dump and only transfered the vpk but forgott to install it. It works with the newest version.
