Is it really worth to purchase a DStwo +?
for the DSTWO/+ alone? no. R4i Gold 3DS RTS does the same thing at a fraction of the price.
you should only get a DSTWO (or the upgraded plus version) if you're looking for a particular feature, like GBA on a DSi. in fact, you might not want a DSTWO depending on what handheld you plan on using it- on a DSL, the DSTWO provides the longest battery life (~8 hours in contrast to 4 from a R4i Gold), but the cart will drain it twice as fast when used on a DSi or 3DS because of its CPU.
Well, im in a conundrum. I only care about Snes, GBA and DS emulation. I have a DSi Xl, a 3DS Xl (that isnt hacked) and a Vita. Vita is booming right now with Henkaku and it might have in the next months the SNES and GBA emulation i crave for.
DS on other hand is held by the necessity of owning a flashcart. Given this, what is the best flashcart i should pick?
I could always buy DS Two Plus and have everything on the go, but given the recent circunstances, i feel like its a bad investment.
I don't know why everyone's always hating on the flash cards ability to play GBA and SNES games true it's not at full speed but it definitely has way better game compatibility than any of the emulators available at the moment so why mess around with b******* that doesn't work for many of the games when you can get something that I work for just about everything buy the scds2
I don't know about anyone else, but in most cases, the DStwo + modern software to use the hardware for the SNES and GBA emulation has advanced a lot. Some games here and there still don't work fully (Mario RPG on SNES is still a juggernaut), but at least every game I cared about on the GBA portion worked well.Well, i don´t want to invest on something that won´t give me 100% of what i want.
Well, i still need a cart for the DS emulation, right? Is the R4i Gold 3DS RTS the best when it comes to price and quality?
Is there a specific cart just for DS emulation? Something cheaper just for the DSi Xl or is the price still the same?
I could be mistaken but I believe it has the same limitation as the 3ds being that the cards larger than 32 gigs happen to be in exfat format and instead need to be in FAT32 and then they should workIF an OG DStwo could actually recognize a microSD larger than 32GB in size,
for the 3DS? well, yes. there are some alternatives to the R4i Gold 3DS RTS but they're only a few bucks cheaper and nowhere near as good.
I mean, it's only $17 over at nds-card.com. those horrid R4iSDHC.com carts are 10 bucks a pop for instance.

No, for the DSi Xl. Well ,its easier to throw away 10 bucks than almost 20 i guess. Guess ill try the R4 you mencioned.
Thanks for the help btw, really appreacite it.
hi people. from what I gather
1) only buy from http://www.nds-card.com/
2) Either buy R4i Gold 3DS RTS or DSTWO
I have a DS Lite. Do I have to upgrate the firmware (if it exists ?) before using any of these carts ?
What I need is NES, Sega Genesis, Mame (if possible) with ability to save a game during mid-play. I haven't in my life played any game boy games, but if it's fun, the gameboy emulation is a bonus I guess.
since R4i Gold 3DS RTS is cheaper than DSTWO, I plan to get that one. Am I making a mistake? Any advice is greatly appreciated !
As far as I know, there are no MAME emulators for the NDS. The DS lite has no firmware so you need not worry about that. Both have RTS but the DSTWO's RTS is better, I think.hi people. from what I gather
