I want to record my Xbox 360 and capture the image with my PC (I want to use OBS). I would connect my Xbox 360 to my PC with HDMI to DVI adapter. Is it possible?

By the way I have Ubuntu 16.04, but if Windows is really necessary then maybe I'll force myself to use this piece of malware (I have Windows 10). But I think that with Linux it'd be easier because it gives you more control over the software and hardware.

What do you mean by connect it to the pc?

You have a dvi based capture card? That'll work fine. If you mean you have dvi ports on the pc and you want to plug into one of those, then no, as those are dvi out.

They do make the VGA cables but that would go directly to your monitor and not your PC unfortunately. To be able to have your PC see the input would need a capture card as previously stated.
