Kaiju busters powered

Release Date:

Game Info:
This can be in paragraph form or bulleted list, as long as it contains the following information:
  • Genre: Action
  • What it's about: its like monster hunter that takes place in the ultraman series
  • Popularity in Japan: doesnt seem that popular
  • Why I want this translation so badly: i love the concept of hunting kaiju from the ultraman series
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: namco bandai never brings titles like this to the west

(Ignore the white strips on the screenshots, the best screenshots I could find for the game were hosted on illegal rom sites and they stuck their names on the screenshots)
  • Name: Tamagotchi no Appare! Niji-Venture (Or Tamagotchi: Admirable Rainbow-Venture!)
  • Genre: RPG
  • What it's about: Unlike the corner shop games (which were mini game collections that got a worldwide release), this game is an RPG where you explore the entirety of the Tamagotchi Planet searching for the legendary rainbow shards as Mametchi, Memetchi and Kuchipatchi. (Unfortunately this is the only information I could dig up for this game. :( )
  • Popularity in Japan: I can say for certain that very few people in Japan will even know about this game's existence, unlike the Corner Shop games.
  • Why I want this translation so badly: I'm sure a lot of English speaking Tamagotchi fans would love to play this game, since it's all about exploring the cute Tamagotchi world! It seems to hold all of the charm that the other Tamagotchi DS games had, but in an RPG instead. Another reason is TamaTown (an old way of exploring the Tamagotchi World internationally) was shut down a few years ago, and some versions of TamaTown are lost except from a videos from when TamaTown was still online. The only archived version of TamaTown is sadly unplayable as it tries to connect to Bandai's servers which are long gone. :( I also feel this game would be a breath of fresh air since most translation requests are for generic anime rpg games. :P
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: 2 very obvious reasons; Nintendo has discontinued support for the original DS, and Tamagotchi was rebooted a few years ago. Another thing is Tamagotchi is only associated as one of "those things that only 90's kids will remember" in the west, and Tamagotchi isn't particularly huge like other things in Japan, but Tama stuff is still made (even though 80% of it is Japan exclusive).
  • In all honesty, I won't be able to contribute very much other than I could make a new logo for the game in English, and I could help with the translations when it comes to Tamagotchi terms.

Game Name:

Shugo Chara! - Amu no Nijiiro Chara Change

Release Date:
  • 2008-11-06

Box Art:
2881a.jpg

Game Info:

  • Genre: Simulation, Magical Girl
  • What it's about: A raising sim where Amu must develop her relationship with any of the available characters (the Guardians, Ikuto, Utau, Nikaidou and Nagehiko) during three months, with the target of bringing a partner to the "Best Friends Festival". (Shugo Chara Wikipedia)
  • Popularity in Japan: Not quite sure, the anime is fairly popular
  • Why I want this translation so badly: I just enjoy the anime series and would like to play the games but I doubt it will ever be translated and I don't know Japanese. It looks interesting enough for me to want to play it and I have tried to struggle through it and the mini games were enjoyable despite me not understanding most of what was going on.
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: The only translated content available from this series is fansubs of the anime and the manga is available in english, I just don't think it's quite popular enough for introduction in the west.

(My particular request is a game that was released in the US, but the content they removed is so large I hope this is alright. If anything, it could make translation easier since a lot can be taken from the US version already made in theory?)

Game Name:
Release Date:
Game Info:
This can be in paragraph form or bulleted list, as long as it contains the following information:
  • Genre: Farming sim
  • What it's about: Similar to other entries in the series, you acquire a run down ranch and make it better then ever while living there.
  • Popularity in Japan: I'm not entirely certain how popular it is there, but rather popular series here in the US and it's been going for 20 years so I suppose pretty popular.
  • Why I want this translation so badly: When this game was released in the US, they removed a system titled the "Best friends system" which, instead of marrying a man, you could have a friend move in with you and the game progressed the same as marriage, which is the only reason I've wanted to play it for over a year since finding out!
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: The game was released, but removed the feature. (Source: http://fogu.com/hm6/forgirl.php )

Here is a top screen only video of one of the ceremonies I believe:

My Offering:
  • I don't know Japanese, but I have played many of the games in these series if that knowledge would be helpful.
  • I'm pretty new to things like this, but if there is something I'm able to do, I'd be happy to help!

there are several japanese ds games that have gone untranslated because 'they have an english version' however take for instance the game 'imagine ballet star' yes it is an english translation of ' Princess Ballerina Yume Miru Prima donna' however there are different things in the japanese version that were completly taken out of the english version! they left out an entire charecter and i think the japanese version had different results for the romance options.

SimilarlyImagine ice skater and imagine ice world champions were 'english translations' of KuruKuru Princess, and KuruKuru Princess: Yume no White Quartet, (im not sure how many things were left out in the imagine versions) however they left an entire game untranslated the third in the series KuruKuru Princess: Tokimeki Figure Mezase! Vancouver is completly untranslated even after all the years since they came out!

Its fairly easy to play yume miru prima donna without english but if you dont know the japanese you miss out on the entire story and romance options :( i would love for someone to translate it and
KuruKuru Princess: Tokimeki Figure Mezase! Vancouver.

Game Names:
  • Princess Ballerina Yume Miru Prima donna
  • KuruKuru Princess: Tokimeki Figure Mezase! Vancouver.
Release Dates:
  • im not sure...
the games are iceskating and ballet dancing games with mini games storylines and romantic options.
you play as one of 4 girls trying to win championships
i dont know about the Japanese popularity but i do know that as imagine games the ones that WERE translated were quite loved.
Why I don't think this will come out in the West: one of them they sorta did as i mentioned above but as for the other i think that imagine has moved on.

Game Name:
Release Date:
Game Info:
  • Genre: Fighting
  • Developer: Konami, Hudson Soft
  • Platform: PlayStation Portable (PSP)
  • What it's about: A crossover fighting game that groups together popular manga from the Weekly Shōnen and Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazines. Its purpose was to celebrate the 50th-year anniversary for both publications.
  • Popularity in Japan: I'd say this game wasn't very popular in Japan. According to VGChartz, Japan's annual summary report for this game was 33,690 units sold. I believe that this game could've boosted its sales more if it was released in North America.
  • Why I want this translation so badly: I'm a huge fan when it comes to anime-type games; especially in the fighting genre. After doing some research, it seems as if no one took the chance to translate this game into English.
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: This game came out on the PlayStation Portable (PSP) seven years ago; and flunked in sales. Since then, the game itself hasn't gotten a remastered or re-release for current PlayStation systems in Japan or the U.S.

  • Unfortunately, I do not know how to ROM hack, translate or patch game files. The only thing that I'd be good at would be spelling and grammar errors.
My Question:
  • Are we able to request more than one game?

Game Info:

    • Genre: Tactical Role-Playing Game.
    • What it's about: It's a hybrid between Fire Emblem an Final Fantasy with pretty good graphics for DS. Many people know of it, and were impressed a few years back. Psychoblaster tried translating it, then someone 'leaked it', and no one ever got to play it. So everyone just gave up asking.
    • Popularity in Japan: Huge hype among websites. Famitsu gave it a good score, but it sells pretty mediocre in Japan
    • Why I want this translation so badly: The gameplay looked awesome, so did the voice acting. I've wanted to play it for years and followed Psychoblaster patiently. I'm a huge fan of Fire Emblem and to play a clone with good graphics would be great. When the whole thing went to poop I was so upset.
    • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: It's been 4 years. It's not happening. Which is a shame because Mistwalker is a good company. I think it's all because of the VA, but other than that I don't know.

I know there are still people here that want to see this game translated and were very disappointed that nothing came of the first attempt

In case you didn't already know, @DomeFossil, the game, ASH: Archaic Sealed Heat has been 100% translated/completed into English.

This is a PSP game, though. There's another Sunday VS Magazine game for NDS but it's an RPG and I think the DS game is already requested before.
