How to use Loadiine for Noobies

Edit: I completely revamped this guide so it is completely up to date! Now it's split into three different videos.

This will probably be the most straightforward and noob friendly tutorial out there showing even the technologically challenged how to use Loadiine to play Wii U backups. Anybody who follows along should be able to get it eventually!

To get the most of the experience you may need to watch the videos on YouTube because I do have annotations clarifying some things and the descriptions are very helpful but watching it here is also acceptable.

Part 1: Extracting .wud files

Part 2: Setting up the SD card and loading backups

Part 3: Updating your Loadiine games

Here's a playlist with all three videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo59pBvZG2_nbarZS66CtDJNzg6-wx6HA

Yeah, it's either an instant freeze or black screen with some random pixels. It seems a bit unlikely to just be bad luck as I think it's close to 100 tries now with zero success.

Ericzander You may want to put something up about updating the games for loadiine. I use Uwizard to download and decrypt the update files, replace the RPX file and merge the content folders. You cannot just use NUSGrabber and install them with WUPInstaller like normal games.

I was going to add this info also. Good to know. It would be nice to have a clear way of finding NUS game ID and what the current update is. Even the compatibility list has a few games that require certain update versions to work so I was curious about this.

Could you stick in any tutorials for the new loadiine? It took me forever last time I had to get it working just for Woolly World!

yes (SSB) or just use mii maker (lesser compatibility)

I also just wanted to thank @Ericzander for the trick of shutting down the wii u once on the exploit page for improve the exploit rate sucess, at first I was just clearing the cookies and doing one full reboot before trying again, and was just getting a frozen screen or a black screen with red pixels... with the hint in the video I never got those again, I got a race failed, went to the settings, tried again and it work!

if you manage to select the link fast enough upon loading you get near 100% success rate, trust me.

and thanks again :)

Ok guys I'm seriously pulling my hair out here. I can get the games to run just fine so no issue there. My problem is that no matter what I try I cannot get the games to save. So far I can't get a straight answer on where exactly to put the save game folder and what exactly it needs to be called and I also don't know if the save game folder should be empty or have folders created inside it.
Can someone please show me their own folder structure because if I haven't created the folders wrong then I honestlt can't think of what could be stopping the games to save.

I've been at this for weeks now and I totally don't know what more I can try.

Any help would be great.

I'm on 5.3.2 with the spoof enabled and I've tried various versions of Loadiine.

Thanks in advbance guys.

Hi, just bought a Wii-U, but i've red a few tutorials and depending on loadiine version the save file must be in saves folder.
Should be like this example:
/wiiu/games/New Super Mario Bros [ARPP01]
/wiiu/saves/New Super Mario Bros [ARPP01]/common/
/wiiu/saves/New Super Mario Bros [ARPP01]/u/

Other thing, verify if the Sd card side button isn't on locked position, could happen

I finally found the problem. It was the SD card that the Wii-U didn't seem to like. The games run great but it refuses to save so I tried a small one that I had and it worked fine. Going to have to buy a big card when I can.
Thanks for the reply mate.

Took this straight from the compatibility list:

"
Mii: Confirmed working with v0. Newer updates (v16 v32 and v64) don't work.
SSB: Works with all versions.
SSB and Mii: The game freezes on exit to WiiU menu.

Mii Maker: Tested the EUR version on US Console, and works perfectly. US version with latest update on EUR Console don't work."
