Hacking Who hasn't yet installed arm9loaderhax? Why?

To me I feel why waste my time today when tomorrow thier could be a better and easier way.

Information being everywhere and not in one place was true before Plailect's guide (you can Google these words if you're interested, at least in reading it if not following it).
Now, it's still maybe "complicated" because it's a long guide with tons of steps, so I can understand you're not using a9lh... but wtf the browser ? Man, get menuhax at least lol, it's just a matter of getting into the HBL with the browser (not more complicated than booting rxTools the way you're doing it) then launching menuhax_manager and pressing A to install

And to answer the last question, no, you don't need a bigger SD card. If you can run an emuNAND with your current size, you can run it too with a9lh. And you can even get rid of your emuNAND which will give you more space on the same SD card BUT THAT'S NOT COMPULSORY (I put that in caps not because I'm angry at you but because some people think that a9lh is sysNAND only).

Yeah I've read Plailect's guide, and I was still confused. It mostly comes down to worrying, because I want to be 100% certain that I'm doing the right stuff. And menuhax, I tried and tried to understand how to get it, but I just didn't find any information that didn't clash with some other information. Haha!
I do want to look into a9lh, but since I'm an idiot when it comes to this I have to ask: are there any pros and cons of still having emuNAND with a9lh (except the space)? Are there any particular things I should know about a9lh? Will the store work? Will I get update nagging? You know... all that stuff

I'm getting more and more interested in a9lh, since I do think it's a bitch to always boot rxtools, just to play even store bought games (Majora's Mask for example).

Highly unlikely. Only lower level hack we could get would be bootrom which would make zero difference for the end user.

Not gonna happen, since the issue is with menuhax. AuReiNAND, ReiNAND, and Cakes all have a 100% boot rate with A9LH.
With Menuhax though? Lowers to probably 80-90%.

And they have improved. As @astronautlevel has stated, the chances of us getting something better is highly unlikely. Besides, even if we get a bootrom exploit, the difference will be minimal.

I've done it on three 3DS's now (my o3ds, my wife's n3ds, and then I got myself a n3ds).

I understand the laziness- it honestly takes me about 6-8 hours to set up. (~6-7 hours setup, then another hour to get all my stuff loaded back on right.) But oh man, is it nice. It's, to me, the cleanest softmod I've ever done. Better than my DS (I flashed the firmware), because I don't need a piece of hardware. Better than my Wii and Wii U, because I can fully update without worrying about issues.

i have 2 3ds.. o3dsxl with gateway and the other is n3dsxl with a9lh installed......... to tell you the truth i use my o3dsxl often because its safer for me and i like the gateway cheat....... on my n3dsxl its so complicated and i feel like its useless because i dont even know and find tutorial right tutorials on how to install gateway with my n3dsxl

Almost certainly, bootrom won't be dumped until 3ds has reached EOL. Even if it was, we don't know if there would be a vulnerability in it, and that vulnerability would add no faster boot

i still use mset with my gateway. It mostly work so no need to install other stuff.

There will be no better option than a9lh and it won't be safer than it currently is.

SafeA9LHInstaller is truly Safe, and fast. For a New3DS, it also checks whether the OTP Hashes are correct.
