Some observations:

The power tag works with Tagmo (http://gbatemp.net/threads/diy-amiibo-cards.406978/page-28#post-6043258) for read/write but is read only with amiiqo/amiiwrite.

Namiio tokens seem to be exactly the same and can be bought separately ~21US$ (www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20160328101336&SearchText=namiio).

It can use files edited with this tool: https://gbatemp.net/threads/amiibo-cheat-tool.409152/

An NFC enabled phone, Tagmo, and the tags is all you need for your amiibo collection.

I'm surprised the community isn't jumping on this. I have 18 amiibos, and not needing to carry them around to friends' houses is great!

Would you mind opening a small tutorial thread for that? Seems like the best solution to me.

Follow this wonderful video:

and use a Namiio/Powertag instead of the NTAG215. The N/PT is basically a re-writable NTAG215. However, you can't read from them on tagmo to make another backup.

Not everyone has an NFC Android phone and if you have the Powertag chances are you have the PowerSaves base.
"The system cannot find the file specified."
Why is it saying that? Just followed your instructions.
Make sure the Amiibo bins are in the same directory as the EXE files. When entering the name of the dump don't enter the .bin. For example if the dump is called MyAmiiboDump.bin just enter MyAmiiboDump.

Also make sure the bin file has no spaces in the name and capitals do matter. The tool will only work on Windows 7/8/8.1/10. Possibly Vista.

Hey, when you go into system settings and try to do amiibo stuff, what does it tell you? I get an error, but it works in MK8.

No. You can use NTAG215 nfc tags. The powertag is reusable, though. The NTAG215's are locked after writing.
I think he means do you need the Powertag since he bought the earlier version of the PowerSaves that didn't come with one.
Either way you are still correct :)
do you really need a powertag to do this. i do not have one
Like skalienx said, no. For the PowerSaves method, yes. But you can buy some NTAG215's (which are write once with amiibo's) and use those with an Android phone.

Want Pre-named Amiibo Bin's? Goto to http://a3095.x10host.com/nameofthatisosite/amiibo/
Where it says nameofthatisosite, enter, well the name of that ISO site.
Can't give direct links. Sorry.
Is the link for the archive still up? I know the name of the iso site and I've tried multiple combos but it's not directing me to the bin archive. Tried www .xxxxxx.com, xxxxxx (Replace xxxxxx with the site name, each x representing a character)

Also, has anyone tried this with an o3ds/2ds + 3ds nfc reader?

Sorry, my x10host account was taken down. Not sure if I sill have the files but if I do I will update the link and PM you. I'll check later.

Yes, this works with O3DS / 2DS and the IR NFC Reader / Writer.

To copy them to the PowerSaves directory, go into the folder containing all of the BIN files. Hold Shift and right click (on a blank space, not on a file). Click "Open Command Window Here". Now enter the following EXACTLY the while you see it.
If you use these preready dumps then you do not need to follow the instructions below.

APS = Amiibo PowerSaves

Ignore The Any Files That Start With Amiibo In This Folder Will Be Considered 540-Byte Amiibo Files.
I forgot to remove that before uploading the program. Sorry.

This is a simple tutorial to using Amiibo BIN Backups with only Datel's PowerSaves For Amiibo Product.

THIS IS NOT:
  • A replacement for the N2Elite USB Reader.
  • Compatible with Maxlander tokens (even with the NaMiiO software) . I know, they look like NaMiiO tokens, but I've tried and they don't work.

What You Need:
  • Datel's PowerSaves For Amiibo
  • The Powertag that was included
  • A PC. Mac Users Can Do This But The Tool I Through Together Obviously Won't Work.
  • Your Amiibo Bin's.
  • The Tool From Below

Let's Begin.

  1. Download The Attached Tool.
  2. Place The EXE In Someplace Convenient Like Your Desktop
  3. Make a folder with all your Amiibo bin's on your Desktop and Move The EXE file into it.
  4. Double click the exe.
  5. Press Any Key.
  6. Enter The Name of The Amiibo BIN You Would Like To Use, and press enter.
  7. Enter The Name That You Would Like This Amiibo Dump to be seen as in the APS Software, and press enter.
  8. Open The APS Software.
  9. Plug in the AP portal, and place the Powertag on it.
  10. Select The Power Tag option.
  11. Select Your Amiibo dump that you would like to use and write it.
  12. Use it!
  13. OPTIONAL: When you are done with the current Amiibo, back it up with the Powersaves software before you write a new Amiibo so you don't have to lose the save data. (IE: Mario-SSB4-Level34-Backup3)
Enjoy!

I am open to helping anyone that needs help.

Thanks for the guide. But the link to the premame bin is no longer available. Do you have another link?
I tried some bin from nfc bank and it works. But it's going to take a long time to rename all of them.

Does your renaming tool works with future amiibo releases? Or it needs to be updated with the correct naming for that amiibo?
