Transfer emuNAND to another SD card. Working on New3DS!

EDIT: The emuNAND Tool has been updated and now works again!

Since right now the emuNAND Tool doesn't work, I've come up with a workaround:

Programs you will need:
Both these programs are free.

PLEASE NOTE: Doing the following method will make a 1:1 copy of the source SD card and put it on the target SD card. It will transfer everything, not just emuNAND.

How to:
  1. Plug the source SD card into your PC, this is the card that you want to transfer emuNAND from.
  2. Run USB Image Tool
  3. Click on the SD card and then "Backup"
  4. Remove the source SD Card and replace it with the target SD Card.
  5. Click on the new SD card, locate the backup image and then "Restore"
  6. Run EaseUS Partition Master and click on "EaseUS Partition Master Free"
  7. Right click on the SD card's partition with data on it, it should be in between two Unallocated partitions and choose "Resize/Move Partition"
  8. Click on the MIDDLE PARTITION, the one that has the data on it and expand it TO THE RIGHT (VERY IMPORTANT)
  9. Click OK
  10. Click Apply on the top left, then OK
  11. Done!
Important Information:
Currently with Gateway 3.1.0 there's a (visual?)bug with higher capacity microSD cards. When running emuNAND it doesn't show the "GW3D" in settings, before the version number telling you if you're in emuNAND or not, because of this its very risky to update emuNAND.
With my guide you can use a 4gb microSD card (where the visual bug doesn't happen) to format emuNAND, update to the latest firmware and transfer it onto a higher capacity microSD card.

Don't panic! - When the transfer is complete and you run the updated emuNAND on your new 3ds it still wont show the "GW3D" prefix before the version number. It'll just say 9.5.0-22E or something along those lines.

Any questions, feel free to ask :)

i have a N3DS which already have a ctrbootmanager which boot my cfw to emunand when i start my 3ds and trying to transfer from an 8gb to 32gb sd

the 2gb will be typed by easeus as unformated and i can run my cfw if i just do that but when i resize it, it makes the 2gb my primary and hence when i put it into my 3ds, it can't run the cfw to emunand and i can't even open the folder in pc and said that i have to format the 2gb part to use it

but the transfered emuNAND is still only usable in the 3DS it was created in, right? I cannot transfer the emuNAND to another console and use it there, if I get that right. ?!

Right. You can only use the emuNAND with the system it was created on.

worked perfect on my New 3DS XL with A9LH on system firmware 10.7.....however, there is only TWO partitions...all my games and saves were carried over without a problem (went from a 4GB card to 32GB card)

@K0nr4d I just wanted to let you know that your solution worked for me. I've been searching all around the web, looking out for a solution, because I had the same problem as you had. Definitely, worth trying.

Thanks for the tutorial mates, although it seems that some people are having problems with the partitions on Windows (just like me). But the alternative method mentioned by @K0nr4d worked.

I get this error every time i try to Apply (tick) the changes to a bigger card.. Any ideas?
fvTa9fq.png
I received the same error; I'm also trying to apply changes to a larger card.

*EDIT ---> I figured it out. Just go into windows' Disk Management and scan for errors. You'll get a message saying you don't need to check for errors, but do it anyway. After that it should work. If not, give Paragon Partition Manager a shot. This error is evidently due to some overlapping in data during the image backup (according to paragon partition manager).

You could try to use the Tool that @dm00z suggested here:
To everyone who is having trouble with EaseUS makes your partition unreadable, you can try restoring the image again with USB Image Tool, then resize the data partition with Paragon Partition Manager instead. The free version works fine.

And if that doesn't work too you could try this:

thanks for alternatives, however the reddit guide still doesnt help since i cant get my 4 gb micro to 2gb space (thats why I saw this whole method instead). and the method dm00z showed gives me an error whenever I try to select Resize partitions from the manager.

I notice after I USB restore the orginal sd cards image on the new 16 gb one, it is a FAT 16, but when I try to resize it switches to fat32, no idea if thats causing the
error

Sorry for not being clear, you must click the Partition Manager Free button on the left, not the Resize Partitions in the middle.

There should be a disk which sort of look like this:
upload_2016-3-22_0-31-11.png

Right click on the middle partition, select Move/resize Partition, then resize the partition to the max by dragging the partition to the right (alternatively you can click on the big down arrow button on the Volume size line, then drag it all the way to the right).
Click Yes, then click Apply near top left. It should take around 2 or 3 minutes for the operation to be completed.

EaseUS shows 3 partitions on my SD, 1gb, then 8gb basically which was my old sd and 7gb left over which would be the rest of my 16gb sd card. Thing is, I cant find the option to remove resize, I even read the software guide on its site and nothing for me.

i just restored the Backup of my source SD onto my new SD Card and it seems like i am able to boot into emuNAND just fine. (Its worth to mention that i do not own a flashcard, i merely split my sysNAND and my emuNAND, which i access through an application called CakesFW. Can i mark my upgrade to a bigger SD card as a success? Please correct me if there is still something wrong
