How to install BrowserHax (SliderHax)

Browserhax is a little tricky to do, do it exactly in the order of the instructions below.
Note: This has been patched in 10.2.0-28 and is for the old 3DS's/2DS!

Download The Homebrew Launcher Starter Pack from Smea's website and extract it to the root of your 3DS's SD card if you haven't already.
Note: The 3ds folder is the folder where all of your homebrew will be stored.
Once it's all copied, put the SD card back into your 3DS and turn it on.

3DS Instructions!
1. First open your browser, go to settings and reset all user data on it.
2. Then when it goes back to the home menu, turn off the wireless (2DS's will need to go in the quick settings menu).
3. Open the camera up by pressing L+R and click the QR code icon, and scan the QR code below.

4. It will open up the browser and then just set all your first time settings. Then it should have an error that the wireless is off, so tap ok/whatever and press the home button afterwards.
5. When you're at the home screen, turn on the wireless again and wait until in the top left corner where it says connected.
Click the browser icon and the sliderhax page should load automatically.
Zoom in as much as you can and scroll to the top left.
Tap either side of the slider and don't press ANYTHING, The bottom screen should flash random colours.
Eventually the homebrew launcher should appear.

If it does, congratulations! Now unfortunately you will have to do this every time so you should install themehax afterwards.

Please let me know if I've made any mistakes. :)

Well the browser still works for me on 2ds 9.5, but I can't seem to run browserhax. I've been trying to run browserhax for a while to install themehax, but it always crashes and gives me an error code. i must have tried like 100 times but no luck. Can someone help?

Face palm, this is patched , only way to do this is thru n3ds not old and it isn't a slider either on it
I listed the version where it got patched, and this ARE the instructions for the old 3ds because I did it.
I haven't used my 3DS in ages but it was on 9.0, there's probably a lot of people with versions below 10.2.0-28 still you know. (9.9 apparently has the internet browser lock you out so if you can still use 9.9's browser, BLOCK NINTENDO's WEBSITES ASAP AND INSTALL THEMEHAX!)

It doesn't hurt to make a tutorial for the people on older versions.

Sorry can't help you much as that's never happened to me. Did you copy the starter pack to the SD card? Or it could be a 2DS issue I don't know about

I had the same problem, it only worked when I reseted the browser settings to default (so when you open the browser it gives you welcome)

Nothing, just keeps yellow screen everytime and crashes to the homemenu, I've tried to load the exploit like 30 times
That's what was happening to me when I just opened the website, but I had to clear all browser savedata and do the long wireless switch on/off with the photo qr code thing in order then it worked. Also I think you had to zoom in the top left corner all the way and scroll to the top left. I should probably put that in the instructions.
When I just opened the website and did it without doing the wireless switch etc, it just booted me back to home screen with along the lines of "An error has occurred"

Nice to see an o3DS dedicated thread for this hax, but since I'm ultra noob in the 3DS scene, I have a couple of questions that I have in order to install it in my o3DS:
1-Do I have to be already connected to an access point before I open the browser for the first time?
2-I cannot open the camera holding L+R simultaneously on my home screen so my question is: i there a limit in how old my o3DS firmware should be to open the camera this way?. My firmware version is 2.1.0-4U with browser version 1.7455.
Any help/link would be very appreciated.

I'm not actually sure what the lowest supported version is, but you gotta have an internet connection set before you do all this and then you use the switch on the right side afterwards as shown in the directions.
And also on older firmwares, you just press L or R instead of them both at the same time to open the camera.

Let me know if it works as 2.1.0-4U is a really old version!

On 10.X.27 I have problem with browser it returns info about system update that is needed. I have OpenDNS managed to block Ninty's update services but I am unable to connect to internet since DNS'es are changed.

Will this work for 9.9? I still have 9.9. Haven't updated yet.

To my knowledge, it won't work on 9.9 or above anymore. However, if you haven't opened the browser for it to say that you need to be on the latest firmware (because once you get it it is saved), I'm pretty sure that you can use a specific DNS to bypass it and and use browserhax but I'm pretty sure it only works for n3DS.

Here is link to the thread if it helps:
