CFW tends to be a good choice for the PSP regardless of how much memory you shove into it.[

It doesn't use the memory stick for RAM (at least I've never heard of it doing so), but it will eat up part of it for the system info, like the file structure. For example, the 128GB SD card I mentioned a while back that I have for my Wii ends up with 119GB and change of total usable space after properly formatting it.Also when i let my psp format it will come out as 64gb or take some off for ram, etc?

Thank you! Another question I'm wondering is what CFW do you think works best for 6.60 and HAS TRIED 256GB X 2 IN DUAL ADAPTER?If I remember correctly you have 59gb showing from 64. 117gb from 128 and 234 from 256gb. I think is pretty standard when you work out the numbers (the fact that what we perceive to be a GB is never how it is worked out on memory cards, hard drives etc.

You updated?I'm hoping the Pro team releases a 6.61 Pro C CFW soon, since Sony released the 6.61 OFW for whatever reason...

6.60 Pro C Fix-3.

I'm just not sure why Sony released another PSP firmware for their dead and dying system of yesterdecade. Makes no sense.
Yeah, it doesn't even fix any exploits as the kernel exploit used by the downgrader still works just fine (and yes, the downgrader has already been "ported" to 6.61 so you can downgrade to 6.20 or whatever).
What's he big deal about 6.20? Is there something special about it that I'm unaware of? 6.60 CFW runs flawless for me...
Assuming you have a PSP 3000, PSP Go, or TA-088v3 then if you want a permanent CFW you have to go with 6.20.
Oh, that's a drag for them I guess... I've got a PSP-2001 model, so I'm golden.
Also, i know need know the BEST places for finding psp homebrew games, apps, hacks, emulators etc. AND is it possible to downgrade from 6.60 to 5.xx for a 5.xx cfw? If so should so i can get the most out of my psp for hacking, etc
thanks
I've got a PSP3000 and whilst the perm hack of 6.20 is nice, its not worth it due in inability to play PSN PSX games. The thing is, if you just switch your psp into standby mode rather than off (the PSP is excellent anyway at preserving battery whilst on standby, you probably lose 2-3% in one day) the hack stays active anyway. Mine probably gets a full restart once a month or so at best. There is literally no reason these days for anyone to be on anything else other than the Pro C Fix 3 6.60, purely based on the fact it offers complete compatibility.
