Would someone happen to know why e's "Emulator v0.82f" isn't giving me any sound (irregardless of sound setting) or full screen or full speed gameplay?
i'm using a pspgo.
I've seen videos of the emulator running pretty much full speed with sound and full screen, but its somehow not working for me. changing options in the menue doesnt seem to have any effect at all which is weird.
i have a vague memory of playing the wonderswan one piece game on my old psp with sound too, but I dont have it available to try anymore.
so if anyone knows what could cause this, thanks in advance

oh, in addition to that, it also doesn't allow for save states. I have a feeling that it might be an issue with the folder structure, in that it expects a certain path, or that it has a problem with the psp gos flash memory being accessed through ef0:/ instead of ms0:/

if anyone with a go could check if this
http://filetrip.net/psp-downloads/homebrew/download-emulator-source-included-0-82f-f28313.html
works on your console with full screen and save states, that would be nice.

Well, you could create the save under a PC emulator then move the save over to the PSP. I was wrong, it's not an ini, just a text file and it doesn't have any options for save types, though I think it defaults to 128k, anyway.

I did just that and it still says that the saved data is corrupted. I don't think I want to bother with a different emulator (trying to keep things nice and tidy on my Memory Stick), so I guess that's the end of that.

it does? i wasn't even aware, from the inhomebrew menues, it seemed like it was only for master system and game boy. will give it a try.
The Sega Master System and Sega Game Gear are interchangeable. The SGG was designed as a portable SMS. With an adapter, you can play a SGG on the SMS and vice versa (except for games reliant on Cards). They're essentially the same hardware. So designing an emulator to emulate the SGG or SMS, it will also play games for the other. You would have to deliberately block specific games to make your emulator not emulate SGG or SMS games.

ok, I solved my issue with Emulator v0.82f. The culprit truly was the pspgo's internal memory. Today, I finally got myself an m2 card, moved the files over and everything worked right immediately. Apparently accessing some files (inis, savestates/folders) is hardcoded to look for a memory cards path. So yeah, in case anyone ever has the same problems with that one emulator, you gotta buy an m2 card.

Okay, so I'm stuck in a pickle right now.

So recently I noticed that MVSPSP and CPS(1/2)PSP will hardlock and crash when hitting either the note or brightness buttons, or try to put the PSP in standby mode. This set of emulators are all on build 2.3.1. I did try to find and tried running build 2.3.5 of each, and while I definitely appreciated the support of cheats with these, I also found it irritating how none of them will launch ANY of the ROMs that I have available, always giving some kind of errors. So I had to revert back to this build.

I'm not sure what to do here. I even tried reformatting the memory stick storage and re-extracted again and still getting the same behavior.

Try the latest version from this thread. I'm not sure if the issue was fixed, but it can't hurt to try.

After a little research all the emulator that use the media engine don't allow the sleep mode.
So I found this thread with the version without it (for Vita and ePsp apparently) but the download link is dead. I still managed to find a earlier revision (19).
Tested with BoFII and it seem to work, sleep mode work too. Can't understand what the media engine is for but whatever.

The Media Engine is the second processor core of the PSP. It's very basic compared to the main processor, but, when properly utilized, it can help improve performance. Snes9xTYLmecm uses it for audio emulation, which is about the only thing it can be used for.

Have we heard anything new about retroarch psp lately? I feel like it was announced as pretty much ready so long ago, but I can't even find anything about it on their website

Ah, RetroArch PSP should be released past month but after all that "licensing novel"... Hard to say how many months it will take yet.

Still, everything looks very promising. ^_^
