You're telling me that now i have to play in a simulator to have a fair chance at battling? That's stupid.
Well, the game being slowly cracked and exploited somehow justifies lack of "safety". It's not like you're going to be hit by this tool abusers each time. For me, getting an 5IV egg without Instacheck alternatives has the same probability as running into a script kiddie on Random WiFi. If you agree to spend time on randomness with breeding, why don't you feel comfortable about the randomness more stacked in your favor to fight a fair battle?

And yes, when people exploit something and share it, instead of just hiding stuff to themselves, it actually gives other people ideas and starting points. Even if collateral damage happens, the end justifies the means.

If nintendo had just let us use pokesav by not encrypting the savs, or even better, given us a way to customize our pokemon however we wanted (Within limits), we would never have needed packet research, and thus never have gone to this. Its nintendo's fault anyways technically :v

well it is going to be funny as hell if nintendo sends another threating letter to take this down.
I don't know what legal standing they could use. Its merely a packet sniffer -- its no less legal than wireshark.

Don't be surprised if they still try a filetrip takedown just to have chilling effect though.
Neogaf also caught on it. Wow.
The tears in that thread, oh my. They're even more epic than this one. :P

That is why it is funny as hell, nintendo doesn't and can't do anything about it. All they can do is ban people on their networks they think that are using it.

Yea, it's also every game developers fault when their game gets hacked for not having the cheats already on them.

What i mean is, come on, its pokemon.
People will find a way to cheat or exploit it regardless. They may as well put a limited but obviously available exploit right out in front so people are less likely to find or create what could be the more gamebreaking exploits.

Again, you're blaming developers for not wanting their game hacked when they are hacked.

I get that they could have taken steps to prevent the issue, but that doesn't mean they're necessarily the ones at fault when it happens. That's a big jump.

I haven't tested it, but it appears as if the version I released to the public only displays the first 3 pokemon on a team.

You can really see what Pokemon they have and what moves they make? It's like being psychic... :wtf:
I wonder if I've ever been the victim of this? It's unlikely because it's probably pretty rare right?
