Nothing needed in the loader. it's detecting the game and patching it when you launch it.
the patch is working for NTSC J/U and PAL (GameID : SMNE01/SMNJ01/SMNP01)
Be sure to use a proper version of the game; not an already patched one. (or dump your disc again, maybe it's a bad rip).

It's not the correct thread to talk about the loader's settings. If you need more help, please ask in USBloaderGX threads :)

Thanks for the quick reply. I will try to redump my disc and see what happens. If that does not work I will find this USBloaderGX thread. Sorry about posting in the wrong place!!!

Thanks again for your help!!!

I updated using wad files because I wasn't sure about how to use the installer method. With the installer method You had to specify what base and block you wanted to install on and I couldn't find that information. After I updated from v6 to v8 I can no longer mount my usb drive with wad manager 2.7. I get the error ret = -1 . I would appreciate any insight on the issue and how to fix this. Thank you.

I had the same problem and same error when trying to mount the USB drive but I was using wad manager 1.7. It asks what IOS to use and I beleive it goes to IOS249. I had to change it from IOS249 to IOS236. I don't thin it is installing it you are just telling it to use IOS236. You should be able to scroll through the IOS's until you get to IOS236. When I changed to IOS236 I could then get to my USB. It is worth a try.
I hope it helps!!!

I used to use USBLoaderGX, but then I found out about CFGLoader, and never looked back. It let me use FAT32 and NTFS, while USBLoader was only supporting WBFS partitions at the time (which suck ass). I love the customization options CFG gives me. I don't see USBLoader winning me over any time soon.

What does this has to do with the D2X cIOS? Anyway, the 3 main USB loaders can pretty much do the same thing.....and CFG is ugly..(damn, that slipped out of nowhere)

It seems I'm the only one having this problem, but I used the installer as prescribed for my WiiU, and only the cios installed to ios 58 wants to work. It doesn't matter if it's 249, 250, or 251. So for example Excite Truck, which usually runs only on 251 will run on 249 that is installed to base 58. Monster Hunter Tri will boot up but always freezes when I try to begin the game, no matter which ios is installed to 58. The other two cios/base combos don't even launch the games, instead rebooting wiiflow. I haven't tried any other usb loaders, nor do I wish to. Don't see how that could be the problem anyway. And before anyone asks, yes I did use the ones for vwii, beta 52, and beta 53-alt, same results. It doesn't matter how I have d2x installed, something always breaks.

Dude come from under the rock you have been living.
USB loader GX is the most feature rich, complete and advanced Loader available ATM.
That post of yours does not make any sense in this moment in time.
USB loader GX has the same customization as any other loader, adn then some.
ALL from the loaders own gui.

How did you come up with this akward configuration?

Psh, Cfg rules! Best loader ever!

Joostin spits on GX.

Anyway, now that we've all stated our personal preference, maybe we can get back to the actual topic.

By first installing d2x the way it said on Wiiuhax.com, which said to install install all bases to the 249 (which is stupid, I admit) and then following the guide here on gbatemp and trying different combos until games started working. I can get several games to work with one method or another, but full compatability with all my games would be ideal. This is very upsetting, as others have reported that MHT works fine for them. Dunno if region has anything to do with anything, but the fact remains that even after following the advice of the likes of Fix94 and others who know their shit, I'm still having problems getting it to work. I'm half tempted to "rent" a brand new WiiU and see if I can hack it any better.

BTW: Currently in the process of editing together a video of multiple attempts I made so Knowers-How can help me better figure out what I need to do. Might take a while, as I work 12 hour shifts and have hardly no time between work and sleep...

the guide on WiiUhacks is incorrect. (it was created based on user's report, which reported wrong things, like replacing 249 many times!)

Reinstall your cIOS and do more tests.
You need to install the 3 cIOSes which are known working on WiiU.
One is base 56, the other base57 and the third base58 (best way is to install them in slot 249, 250 and 251 respectively).
249[56] v10
250[57] v10
251[58] v10
Try them, if v10 doesn't work, reinstall all three with v10-alt (different HDD compatibility).

Some Console/HDD only work with Base58 (It seems to happens more often on WiiU than on Wii. I know only two cases on Wii)
If it's the case for you, then it's too bad as most games won't work fine with a base58.

edit:
I think you misunderstand what IOS slots are used for.
You said "no matter which ios is installed to 58."
You can't install IOS in slot 58!
You only use the IOS58 as a base for patching its content and install the resulted patched IOS in the slot 200+
IOS 249 [base 56] = IOS 56 patched, and the result is installed in slot 249. your IOS56 is untouched and still official. Then the USBLoaders will use slot249 (which is a patched IOS56 allowing loading from USB).

You can use any IOS base, and install them in any slot over 200.
You can install the patched 56 in slot 248 if you want (cIOS248[56]), or the patched 58 on slot 251 (cIOS251[58]) etc.

Heh, so I worded it wrong. sorry. Anyway, I've tried both vwii versions but it didn't work right. Are you saying my hard drive is what's not letting it load?

Either your hard drive or the console.
There are other users who had only base58 working on vWii. I don't know if they found a fix.

Maybe you just don't have enough power if it's a USB-powered HDD.
You are using a external powered HDD, or Y cable?

Hi Guys! I'm new to this so here is my problem:

I'm using this SanDisk Cruzer Blade 16GB and I used modmii to softmod my Wii recently. The problem is some CG's stutters and even if it is not a big deal for many ppl I would like to solve the problem!

Anyone ever used this flashdrive on the Wii so I can compare?

I know this flashdrive is not that bad cause I can solve the stutter problem changing the IOS. For example:

Mario Kart Wii opening video stutters when I use this cIOS249[56]-d2x-v8-final if I change to cIOS224[57]-v5.1R the opening and game works perfectly.

So it's not a crappy flashdrive it's just that this cIOS249[56]-d2x-v8-final have compat problems with it!

Does this new d2x v10 will improve the USB compatibility?

You guys must be thinking: If changing to 224 solves the problem be happy and play the game! OK... but Metroid Prime Trilogy gives me the same problem and if I use the 224 I will have to go back to that crappy dol thing :( the new ones (249) solve this problems and I don't have to choose dols but CG's stutters :(

Please help me
