Hacking 3DS Current Firmware Update Information [5.1.0-11]

hi i recently brought super mario bros 2 for my 3ds. when i played the game it did a update om my 3d and now my r4 card wont works. is there a update i can install so my r4i 3ds will work?

if you only installed the update from New Super Mario Brothers 2, if your console is EUR i believe you are now on 4.1.0-3
so if you can find an update for your card that will allow 4.1.0-3 or later you can update, but it will need to be done on a console where it can run e.g a DS Phat or DS Lite

NATIVE_FIRM and CVer were updated, no other titles were updated. The NATIVE_FIRM changes were minor.
The updated 3DS title-versions for the system updates beginning with this update is no longer returned by the DSi system-update SOAP server. Therefore the 3DS system-update SOAP server would have to be used to obtain the latest 3DS title-list via SOAP. The title-list returned by the DSi sysupdate SOAP server is the title-list for 5.0.0-11.

Doesn't sound like much of an update to me. I'm in no hurry to update then. But at least I know my SC DSTwo will still work.

I have just tested it and r4i gold 3ds(r4ids.cn) works well on 3DS 5.1.0-11 on condition that it can support 3DS 4.5.0-11

I updated my 3DS XL with the new update 5.1.0.11 and now my card show an error after bootting. My card is R4isdhc dual core white 2013 from www.r4isdhc.com. Now i can't play ds games.

Is there a way to update the 3ds if I get error in the setting and the Nintendo fix for that error ? Because I try both and still get the same error message and no update.

Hold L+R+A+Up before powering on (Left Shoulder Button, Right Shoulder Button, A, and Up on the D-pad) this will bring up the system update screen

The new Nintendo 3DS Update is set to improve functionality on the system but from a select few (such as myself) the system simply breaks Nintendo Eshop and System Settings, this is rather infuriating to be honest. I simply wanted to download Crashmo but instead I get greeted with this lovely little error. My update failed after downloading 50-60% of the update, then I got an error and it asked me to hold the power button down.

Unfortunately its not an isolated incident as others have had this issue as well



Games work just fine though but if you want to download new games from eshop or adjust something in the system settings, you can no longer do so.

I own a Blue 3DS XL and its only a month old. Already contacted customer support via Nintendos website, lets see how it goes.

I have tried yet I get the same message I emailed Nintendo but still haven't gotten a reply back yet. I contacted them yesterday I hope to hear something soon . Could you let me know what they say if you get a reply back before I do?

Taking advice from some randoms on here as to whether or not to "go ahead and update - all is well" is setting yourself up to get trolled.
Advice for the thread OP: Spoiler tagging everything is unnecessary. List reputable sources: less informed people will get the wrong idea. You could inadvertently spread misinformation... and if this forum is the smallest bit like the supercard one ...well just look at the thread creator to the thread I linked, he spread misinformation and he was banned (rightly so, which is why you should ignore his thread topic title.)

Either way, I wouldn't expect you to amend your post to make it more professional/accurate(and less of an annoyance to read through). My post was mainly directed towards/for the benefit of DSTWO users, not yourself, so don't take it personally.

I also linked what you linked me. comfirming DSTWO to be working, and I have clearly stated that it is according to a certain user that a flashcard works, not that its actually comfirmed.
It is very accurate, don't thread bash if you only wanted to help, why not just post the information and leave your opinion out of it, this is a thread to help out.

Alright, but I can't give advice if my opinion isn't included. Like this: it would be much easier to read if you just untag the "Working Flash Cards" part. That's generally what people would be looking for anyway. For the other carts you could just hunt around the main cart sites (which I don't know of since I only use DSTWO so, obviously I only go to supercard.sc) if you wanted confirmations.

I am glad you are trying to be helpful.
And the forums will be jsut as bad with comfirmation as staff rarely comment on it but I am in the middle of investigating, dont say you're trying to throw me a bone, you sound like you're patronizing me.
And its all tagged so users can choose what information they want to see.
