Negatives for me:
A little bit too much hand holding at times.
Some QTEs are a little ridiculous in terms of timing (Namely the wolf cave...)
Crashes every so often (Might be my crappy pc? Duno)
Sky is glitchy looking sometimes (Probably my crappy pc :P)
Screen Blacks out when I take damage sometimes (crappy pc again?)

Positives for me:
Pretty much everything else...
Visuals are amazing, voice work is great, game play is fun.
Remember the part about my crappy pc? I'm running a gpu that's only rated to handle the game on minimum and a pentium D yet I'm playing this in 2560x1024 on ultra (yes it does get a tad bit laggy in some of the open world parts but it's perfectly playable even then)

Long time fan of the series and also I liked TR:AOD, I duno what people's complaint about it is...
Not a wallpaper :P This is on my steam acct from while I was playing.

This would be my only gripe with the game, i found i had to go through the event 2/3 times to learn the sequence, but no big deal really, it's hasn't affected my enjoyment in the game.

This game is damn fun to play.

Also, I have auto aiming on? Like 75% of the time it locks on to a nearby target. Wolves and wild animals don't, but human enemies are easy to hide from, shoot, hide from.

I love the stuff you can learn to do, like running low to the ground and throwing sand at attackers' eyes to blind them temporarily.

Whatever you do, DO NOT fast-travel back to the Mountain Base camp after you have passed it.
I derped.

There's a fast-travel camp inside the Mountain Base that you can use to exit :O

I knew I was missing something stupid, but when I looked online for solutions, there were people experiencing the same problem and no one was posting solutions.

But the game is still buggy.

I too went back and got 100% before going past the no point of no return. The game was great but the ending was weak. This isn't so much of a spoiler as it is a warning, the ending only lasts about a minute and that's including the final "boss".

I'd be ok with this if I hadn't just invested time into 100% the game.

I recently upgraded my gaming rig and the game still crashes slightly more often than I'm used to.
(13 times until now and I've only played 2 hours or so.)

I also got some pretty hefty graphical glitches at around 20 minutes into the game. I hope SE/Eidos will fix that soon ;_;

Great game, I love it. The only bugs I encountered are just certain walls were missing when viewed on certain angles, and only twice tips/commands like "Mash E to..." getting stuck on the screen until something replaces it.

Since you can't save on your own, at first I wasn't certain what of those I did gets saved when I quit the game.
Sometimes I forget that I have to aim first before I could fire. There was one time where I keep switching guns because it wasn't firing I thought I had no bullets, lol. And when aiming, how do I control whether I aim from my left or right shoulder?

I bought it on PS3.
I find it beautiful, all different trees and textures are nicely done. no bug or glitches so far.
Controls are great, voices are nice too (I tried English and French).
You can switch between 3 different auto-save slot whenever you want, it's a good thing to keep old save file in case of need.

I'm currently at the forest (3rd map).
I try to find all items before advancing to the next map. I'm missing 5 targets, they are well hidden!

As I thought, I'm very bad at aiming with analog sticks. I usually never see where the enemy is located, I look around randomly and miss when I shoot.
Hopefully, I can take my arrows back from targets.

Edit:
I'm getting better at targeting :)
as long as it's not a war field out there.

I'm currently at 45% of the story and I have all maps to 100%.
The only thing I'm missing is the "hunting on this map is complete" for all maps. I guess it's only optional as there's no count for it.

It looks like there will be no single player DLC, just multiplayer...you know the part that no one plays. I didn't expect any more story at all but hoped for some more tombs.

I read this too earlier, does anybody play/purchase Tomb Raider for the multi-player?

Tomb Raider has always been a single player experience, navigating the tombs was the games strength, i won't be purchasing any DLC for this then.

So, I just finished the game last night (this morning) and it was fantastic! The most fun I've had with a game in a long while. I'm not sure how much time I put in exactly, but I rented it 5 days ago and played 2-3 hours each night, finishing the story at 86% completion without really trying for all the collectables. Perfectly paced action and the gameplay/controls were surprisingly tight. I still have it for 2 more days so I'll likely be going back to get 100% and checking out the multiplayer. If the multiplayer is fun I'll probably be looking to purchase it. I'm playing Enslaved next but I'd definitely be interested in doing another playthrough of Tomb Raider down the road.

Why was the dead stormguard's clue, hidden in the sword handle, remained untouched after all those years.
It makes no fucking sense.

That's interesting.
I got the PC version and I only gave it a brief try because I had to finish Dead SPace 3 before starting this......
My rule is usually to play FPS with Keyboard/Mouse and Third Person with an Xbox360 controller ( the support is fantastic for most PC games ).
Also lately I purchased a USB Gaming Pad that it's a pleasure to use.....so I'm playing most games with K/M again.
You mentioned that aiming is a little bit though in this games, would you recommend me to use a K/Mouse or a controller for this game ?

I don't know how the mouse is used in that game, so I can't compare controller/mouse.
I find it strange to use the mouse to move a third person view game. I guess it's used like the PS3 Analog stick to rotate the camera around Lara, but maybe you will miss some buttons on the mouse?

I think a controller is easier to have access to all buttons at the same time. And mouse is more precise for aiming.
If you do things correctly, most battles you will hide and snipe with the arrow, you take your time to aim and headshoot.
Sometime, there's even a slow motion to let you aim.

if you die at a battle sequence, the game auto-reload at the start of it, so you can try as many time as you want.
