Anyone good with japanese puns? Having lots of random questions in Chester's route.
"リアラが言った！ リアルにアラアラ！"
Cless is making fun of Reala's (Riara) name, and saying "ara ara" which means something like "oh dear".
It must be a bad pun because after, Chester says "だが今のはひどいな……" "That was terrible..."
I just don't know how to phrase it to make sense, if possible. Like someone earlier in the thread said, it's almost impossible to retain the original puns, translated to english.

Actually, how about this to fit the context more (still using your idea for the general pun)
Reala (to Chester): なぜあなたは彼に協力しているの？(Why do you support him?)
Chester: 腐れ縁って奴かな。ほっとくわけにはいかねぇだろ (We have an undesirable yet unseverable bond.)
Cless: リアラが言った！ リアルにアラアラ！ (The bad pun) (Reala... You have a reala bad attitude!) or something similar
Chester: だが今のはひどいな…… (That was just terrible...)
Some lines are slightly changed to fit, but the ideas are all intact.

Also, just curious but do you think you could work on the Radiant Mythology games also when your done with this one? The file formats are identical IIRC, so it would be possible. However, Kenma9123 has menu patches out for them and I think he ran into the same problems I was having problems with on this game (story text is compressed into a (as of now) undocumented .bdi file.)Hey, I wanted to say thanks for working on this, and I hope you can get the story translated soon!
If you just want to have some items and menus in english you can find those... I won't say I have plans for them until this game has some major progress.

as I said in the pm pokefloote, I did looked, no real clue (I've also looked in the RM2/3) and since I've a lot of work to do on other project, I'll wait a bit till debugging the whole archive filesystem...
Oh I wasn't meaning to say that you didn't offer to help, I just mean that nobody else has attempted yet. ^^;
It's fine, I'm eagerly awaiting the Digimon stuff as well. (:
