2017/04/14: I have released the source code and assets for importing F.L.U.D.D. into SM64DS.
2018/05/26: I have uploaded the level models.

Super Mario Sunshine 64 DS is a Super Mario 64 DS hack I am currently working on. I'll be porting levels from Mario Sunshine and making new stars for them. I'll be working first on simplifying the models so the DS can handle them as this is the most time consuming part and then I'll start adding stars etc.

Are you also gonna add those Delfino townsfolk in it too?

It wouldn't be possible at the moment as animations can't be imported, however the animation format has been documented and Gericom has got a working BCA viewer and I do plan on adding animation support to SM64DSe or perhaps someone else will, so hopefully I'll be able to import them in the future.

Me wonders if you could replace the models of the Toads and Bob-Omb Buddies to Piantas and Nokis.
Yes, I will be doing that, however there's no aimation at the minute but you can set it to ignore the animation data so the game doesn' t crash:

Still working on Noki Bay, it's very difficult trying to lower the face count whilst preserving features for this level as it's so complicated, but I'm nearly done (5800 faces, need 4900, originally ~19000).

Then I'll have to texture it, but that doesn't typically take too long. The Underwater City and the Red Coin Bottle are done though. And yes, Noki Bay will include Nokis!

Hope you'll be modifying them to avoid having to use FLUUD, technical limitations and whatnot.
From what I've seen, the levels are a bit larger compared to the character than in SMS; that means Luigi is almost a necessity right now.
However, Noki Bay should be easy to traverse as Mario if the layout is intact.

Speaking of which, how are you handling the spray sections, where you spray a tile and a whole wall appears?
