Yeah, I'm an old One Piece fan, I used to watch the dubs on Cartoon Network a long time ago and when it came off CN, never got time to watch it online. Was trying to catch up the other day by watching the subs and starting all over but then this game came out so playing it all day, everyday xD. It reminds me of the gba one I used to play for weeks on end, took me a while to stop playing it ^^. Also, I'm the type of guy who rarely finishes rpgs lol, once I'm close to the end I usually put it down and finish playing it a couple months after or even a year after xD. Therefore, I'm trying to change that about myself, so I'm only playing one rpg at a time now. If I put Lunar on the PSP, Imma be tempted to play it.

Here are four more that I know of: Knights in the Nightmare, Dungeon Explorer: Warrior of Ancient Arts, Riviera: The Promised Land, and Star Ocean: First Departure.

Some notes:
  • Knights in the Nightmare has superior controls on the Nintendo DS version, therefore I recommend you get it there instead. However, the PSP version is good if all you care about is the story.
  • Dungeon Explorer: Warrior of Ancient Arts is also on the Nintendo DS, but it doesn't matter what version you get. They're virtually identical, it looks like.
  • Riviera: The Promised Land was also on the Game Boy Advance. The PSP version is an enhanced port with the only enhancement seeming to be voice acting and larger resolution. I haven't played the PSP version, so I don't know if it's superior. Sorry!
  • Star Ocean: First Departure is a remake of Star Ocean for the SNES, and is the recommended version for English-speaking players, as it's the only version of the game available in English. However, the original game has some charm to it, even if it has to have a fan translation patch applied.
final fantasi dissidea 012 is best
I thought Dissidia was a fighting game, not an RPG.

Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 3 is fantastic and much better than a lot of newer RPGs found on the PSP. It also has a english menu patch so you can see what items and stuff your using.

Valkyria Chronicles 2. Bar none the best game on the psp.
Disgaea is a much better SRPG. Easier to get into without being bored with the characters.

Ah see, now you're getting into heavily opinionated things.
Personally I like Valk Chronicles characters as they're a bit more grounded in reality (Well, as grounded as you can get given the setting and such). I also like Disgaea because it's so over the top it's great.

Not really. Both are fine in terms of gameplay cause SRPGs don't really differ that much so there is nothing to criticize.
Thats the problem I have with them, its because they are so grounded in reality compared to others I find it harder to like them. I know a lot of other JRPGs out there are serious but the characters I found were a little likeable but its probably more because it was a more fantasy setting, I consider Disgaea better because outside of its humor is a good story and it can be serious when it wants to be giving it a nice balance and making it easier to get into when you start playing.

And that would be called Opinions.

I never said it wasn't an opinion but people generally like to continue playing a game that they can get into and not try to struggle for hours until it becomes good which is why I say Disgaea is a better SRPG cause its easier to get into without boring and dull characters. I like VC's gameplay but I usually skip the story and dialogue to get to that gameplay.

To you the characters are boring and dull. THAT IS CALLED YOUR OPINION.
Good god. You missed that entire point didn't you? I REALLY don't care about why you think X is better than Y. It's your opinion. State Game X that you like and why you like it and move on. Don't bash another game. Let OP figure it out for themselves.

Where did I say exactly that it was shit? I just said that another game is easier to get into which would be better for the OP if they are looking for a SRPG. I find it funny when someone gives a different opinion from someone else its automatically bashing. So giving opinions that a game has dull and boring characters is bashing now? Troll harder mate.

No really. Calling a game "Dull and Boring" is called bashing a game. Those are both negative terms. It's still your OPINION that YOU find it to be dull and boring. It's still my opinion that I find it to be FUN and EXCITING. Does that make either of those statements true? Nope. They're opinions. Not facts.
Now if you were commenting on the gameplay itself we can state facts about that. However characters/story is HIGHLY opinionated and neigh impossible to discuss objectively.

I never said the game was dull and boring I said the characters are, I said that I like the gameplay after skipping the dialogue. Mate I wrote that earlier or did you miss it?
I never once criticized the gameplay because gameplay has rarely been shit in any game, its the stuff around it that I usually have problems with like MonHun, the control setup is just plain bullshit but otherwise the gameplay is fun.

Oh boy. I see how this is going. Yea....
OK you called the Characters Dull and boring correct? Are they not part of the story which is integral to the game? Now if the are part of the story which is integral to the game would that not be the same as calling the game dull and boring with enjoyable gameplay?
See you're bringing in your OPINION on the STORY and the CHARACTERS. I think you're missing what I'm saying here.

I respect your opinion, but it's not fact. If you're recommending a game to someone you should give them pointers on what's GOOD about something. Let them determine the negatives for themselves.
See what I'm saying here yet? KEEP NEGATIVE OPINIONS TO YOUR FUCKING SELF.
That clear yet?
